Nobody's POV
Jade let out a sigh of relief when she parked her car in the garage, after having spent every day this week and all of today working on keeping club Indigo up and running. She was stressed and exhausted and really just wanted to quit already. She had no idea that getting a business off the ground would be so challenging.
Still, she couldn't quit because she had a wife and kid, and two more on the way, who's future financial stability meant more to her than sleep. It was late. Nearly 11pm to be exact. Once again she had stayed there working, brainstorming ideas of how to make the place better, when she would have much rather been home with her family. Well, Perrie specifically, since Jaden had already gone to Leigh's for the weekend.
She unbuckled her seatbelt and made her way into the house. All that was on her mind was falling into her wife's arms, kissing and cuddling, but little did she know, she had another thing coming.
When she stepped into the kitchen and set her phone and keys on the counter, it was quiet. She walked over and grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge. When she brought it to her lips and started drinking it, she saw Perrie walk into the kitchen and smiled wide, missing the blonde. That was until she actually got a good look at Perrie's face. Jade's smile fell and she set the bottle down on the counter.
"What's wrong-" Jade started.
"Where have you been?" Perrie asked coldly, cutting her off.
Jade was a bit taken aback by the question and Perrie's tone. Perrie never questioned her whereabouts. She was even more worried than surprised because of how swollen and red Perrie's eyes were, as if she had been crying for hours.
Jade frowned. "I was at the club, babe. You know that."
"You and that fucking club!" Perrie yelled and Jade's eyes widened. "Every time you leave this house, it's about the club! Every time your phone rings, it's about the club!" Perrie continued.
Jade could see her starting to get angry, like visibly angry, and she was confused as to why. It was like she could see her wife's blood boiling through her skin.
Perrie never had a problem with Jade working at the club, and recently would even pop up for surprise visits, which Jade loved. And if it ever did become a problem, she knew all she had to do was say the word and Jade would be right here with her. In a heartbeat. Why she seemed so pissed about it all of a sudden, was confusing the hell out of Jade.
"Who was there with you?" Perrie folded her arms.
"No one. You know I work alone..." Jade replied, getting more confused by the second. Perrie was asking her questions that she already knew the answers to, and Jade didn't like where this conversation looked like it was headed.
"Sure." Perrie rolled her eyes.
"Baby..." Jade stepped forward, furrowing her brows when Perrie took a step back. "What's wrong? Why have you been crying?" Jade asked softly, not taking any more steps since clearly Perrie didn't want her to.
"It doesn't matter." Perrie mumbled, turning to walk away.
"What?" Jade asked, catching up to her and lightly grabbing her arm, which Perrie quickly snatched away from. "Why would you say that? Of course it matters!" Jade said, a bit louder than necessary.
"Why am I not good enough for you, Jade? I knew it. I knew I wasn't in the first place but I let you trick me into believing I was!" Perrie yelled. "So fucking stupid!"
Whatever it was that was on Perrie's mind before Jade even got home, heated her up almost instantly.
"Wait a damn minute! Hold on! Where is this coming from?" Jade asked, getting frustrated. She was already tired, the last thing she wanted to come home to was this. "When have I ever made you believe you weren't good enough for me? That doesn't even sound right! You know how much I love you!"
