Perrie's POV

I could hardly hear a word Brittany said over the pounding of my heart. Suddenly, I felt the door open and her hand grab mine. She helped me out of the car, and I was immediately hit with a feeling I couldn't describe.

Everything felt perfect. Today was perfect. My life felt perfect. And it was as if my body sensed she was near, because I swear I could feel her.

"Okay, we're going to walk a bit, and you're going to have to take off your heels." Brittany guided me.

"My heels? Why?" I asked, but she didn't reply.

When the pounding in my ears finally quieted, I heard the soothing sound of waves crashing in the distance. A cool breeze brushed across my skin, slipping effortlessly over me, every hair already standing in anticipation.

It wasn't a cold wind, but a gentle, comforting breeze. I could feel it playing with my hair and flowing through my dress. The sound of the waves was calming, wrapping around me like a warm embrace. I had never felt as good as I did today in my life.

"Okay now, take off your heels," Brittany said softly.

I did as she said and held them in my hands. She led me a little farther, and my whole body softened as I felt the warm, velvety sand beneath my toes. A beach. She brought me to a beach.

My chest tightened, overwhelmed with so many feelings at once. How much more could my heart take? We walked a little longer, the sand molding gently around my feet, until she finally stopped.

"You're here," she whispered, and my heart raced again. I exhaled a shaky breath, dying to get to Jade. Dying to see her. "It was nice to finally meet you, Perrie. You should know that Miss Thirlwall loves you very much. Now, go get your girl."

She gently removed the blindfold and it was instantly replaced with tears. There was so much to take in. So much beauty in front of my eyes all at once, it nearly knocked the breath from my chest.

I glanced down at the soft white sand covering my toes, grounding me for a brief moment. But when I looked up, my breath hitched. There she was.

Finally, I'm home.

She was facing the water, with her hands in her pockets, looking into the beautiful orange and purple swirled sky as the sun set over the horizon. Her long brown hair flowed with the breeze, shimmering like a satin sheet.

She was wearing a white pant suit that hugged her body so well, I was jealous it wasn't me. She looked ethereal, like something out of a dream, an angel in human form. And in that moment, the world seemed to stop. All I could see was her.

All I could see was her

This is too perfect. Either I'm dreaming or I'm dead. This has to be what heaven feels like.
