Perrie's POV

We were barefoot, walking along soft, white sand that felt like powder beneath our feet. The sky was a soft, endless blue, and the sun wrapped us in its warm glow. A gentle breeze danced around us, making my white, flowy dress ripple like waves.

Jade walked beside me, her tailored, very expensive-looking white suit crisp and perfect, looking like she belonged to the sky and sea all at once. Our fingers were intertwined as we walked, fitting together like they were always meant to.

Her laughter filled the air, light and sweet, wrapping around my heart. It was the kind of sound you wanted to bottle up and keep forever. Then she stopped, turning to face me with the brightest, most beautiful smile I'd ever seen.

She reached into her pocket, her fingers lingering for a heartbeat longer than necessary. I couldn't help but hope it was what I thought it was. But just as she pulled her hand out, a sharp, prickly feeling stung my nose, pulling me out of the moment.

"What's the matter?" She asked, bringing both hands up to my face.

"Nothing. I'm okay."

"Okay." She replied. She reached into her pocket again, and at the same time, I felt the same sharp pain.

"Ow!"

"Babe, what is it?" She once again took her hand off of whatever it was she was holding in her pocket to look at me, her gorgeous brown eyes full of concern.

"It's nothing babe, seriously." I replied.

Please continue, and do what I think you're about to do.

My heart rate sped up and I could feel the butterflies swarming in my stomach.

I can't believe this is happening!

She smiled and went to get down on one knee and then—

"Ow! For fucks sake!" I groaned. The same irritating pain hit me, and suddenly my Jadey disappeared.

No no no come back!

When I felt it again, everything went black and my eyes shot open. Her face was now literally within a few inches of mine, scaring the shit out of me. I jumped and felt the familiar pain in my nose before realizing that it was being caused by her finger.

What the hell?

She had the cutest little innocent face while she straddled me, her long soft hair falling over her shoulders, and that smile that I wish I could paint on the inside of my eyelids so I never went without it.

As cute as she is right now... still... what the hell?!

"Ow, Jade! Quit it!" I squirmed. "Get your finger out of my nose! Why are you so gross? Who digs in someone's nose? You were literally picking my brain! It's going to bleed! AND you ruined my dream!"

She laughed and shrugged. "Were you dreaming about me?"

"Get over yourself." I rolled my eyes.

She leaned down and kissed my forehead, then my nose, then both my eyes, then finally my lips, doing that thing again that I loved.

"I already know you were. You said my name twice." She laughed again.

I rolled my eyes again, finally taking notice of the thick bathrobe she had tied up to her neck. "What the hell are you wearing? It's July!"

"Close your eyes." She whispered with a smile.

"So you can dig around in my nose again? Weirdo."

"No." She laughed. "Now close your eyes."
