*Johnny's Pov*

I'm sitting on the couch in the RV with my wife on my right and Olivia next to her. Mark is currently driving the RV with Ruby sitting passenger, while Robert drives with Nicole in the van. Jenny, Troy, and Simon are playing clue with Justin and Riley at the kitchen table.

"You guys think our homes are gonna still be there when we get there?" I asked the girls.

"Honestly I wish they are cause I really miss my room. And I know my makeup is most likely shitty. But I could grab those medical books I had for studying." Olivia sighed.

"We should all learn a little something medical incase you know God forbid anything happens." Claire suggested.

"You're right, at least the basics which shouldn't be hard for you guys to learn." Olivia agreed.

"I agree, don't want someone getting injured and none of us knowing what to do." I added while sitting back on the couch putting my hands on the back of my head.

"Like once you dislocated your shoulder trying to surf down a flight of stairs with a mattress. So Dylan calls me to fix it just so you guys don't get in trouble with you're dad. Which you still needed to go to the hospital for and still got in trouble." Olivia teased.

"Hey, it was a bet and I got twenty bucks out of it plus pokemon cards." I replied pointing at her.

"That was pretty dumb. But I did enjoy being the dominate one in our sex life with that sling on." Claire chuckled and Olivia laughed.

"Well it's hard with a sling on, but I'm not complaining, it was good to change roles for a few weeks." I winked. Claire rolls her eyes and lays her head on my chest. My arm naturally drapes over her waist as her arm does the same to mine. Her brunette wavy hair covered her beautiful face.

"Tired baby?" I whispered to her.

"Mhm." Was all she said while  squeezing me tighter. I smile as I use my free hand to move her hair out of her face.

"Goodnight gorgeous." I kissed her cheek and she smiled with closed eyelids. I look over to Olivia examining her knife.

"Do you ever think we could be capable of the shit we've done? Like before the world changed, was it possible that we can do those things then?" She asked while still having her eyes on her knife.

"I don't think we truly know what we're capable of until we're forced to let out what we didn't know was in us. We'll do anything to protect ourselves and the ones we love. This world and the people still left in it makes us do horrible things. We're changing with the world, just like we would change going to college or experiencing the worst things the old world had to offer. That first day, I didn't think we were gonna make it, let alone find Dylan and Claire. But we did and I'm glad we did. Even though we've been through hell, we still choose to survive, even with the odds stacked against us."

Olivia looks at me with glossy eyes.

"We've killed people. Growlers used to be people, and we kill them with ease. Now we do the same to the living, are we bad people for that?"

"In this world there are no good or bad people anymore. Only people who do the things they do to survive. Kinda like the world before just no growlers. This doesn't get any easier and I don't think we can get used to it. We'll have to live with it for the rest of our lives." She lays back on the couch looking up to the ceiling.

"We're supposed to be stressing in our freshman year of college by now." She sighed.

"Yeah, at least we don't have to worry about being in debt." I chuckled.

"Oh don't even remind me of that. I thought I'd have to sell drugs to even get close to getting out of debt." She laughed.

"Yeah I thought I was gonna be on the stripper pole to pay mine...ow." I started to laugh but felt a hard pinch on my side.

"Not while you're with me you weren't." Claire mumbled out with her sleepy voice and Olivia laughed.

"Don't be like that babe. You know I'd share the money with you...ow, ow, ow alright, alright."

"Now, don't you dar-" Before she could finish her sentence, she bursted out laughing as I tickle her side and neck.

"Okay..okay, you win damnit you win." She said trying to control her giggles. I stop tickling her and she gets off of me folding her arms and sticking her tongue at me.

"Hey Johnny can you come up here for a sec?" Mark asked from the driver seat. I give Claire a quick kiss on the cheek before heading over there. I place my arm on the back of his chair as I nod my head to Ruby and she does the same back.

"What's up?" I asked Mark.

"We've just went through Kalamazoo, your town is about a hour and a half ahead. How do you want to play it?"

"One sec." I told him before I went over to Simon and the others playing Clue.

"Damn Riley, you're kicking our asses." Troy chuckled while moving his jet black bangs away from his dark brown eyes.

"Used to play Clue a lot when I was younger, just gotta pay attention to details." Riley shrugged.

"Dude did you like go to tournaments or something?" Simon asked.

"Did they even have Clue tournaments?" Riley giggled.

"No way, none of you heard of the grand valley Clue tournaments?" Simon whined. Everyone at the table shared the same look and shook their heads. Simon through his hands in the air in disbelief and everyone laughed.

"Hey Simon, can I see the walkie real quick?" I asked him.

"Sure thing dude." He replies while handing me the walkie.

"Thanks." I walked back to Mark and pressed the button. "Rob, Nicole do you read me?"

"Loud and clear Johnny." Nicole responded.

"Alright listen up. When we get to my neighborhood, we're gonna split into three teams. First team will be sneaking in there base, stopping Titan and saving Dylan. That team will consist of myself, Mark, Robert, and Olivia. Second team will be our scouts. Primary job is protecting the first team and watching over us with snipers. That team will be Claire, Justin, and Nicole. Now the third team will be staying at my house. If we're not back in two hours after departure, take the RV and don't look back. Simon, Troy, Jenny, Riley, protect Ruby and her unborn child. Everything is riding on this plan, so let's see it through and come out alive."

"Roger that." Robert said through the walkie.

I guided Mark into the direction of my old neighborhood. He puts the RV in park and Robert does the same from behind us. I grab my bag and put it on my back. I clear the lump out of my throat as I reach for the RV door handle with a shakey hand.

My nerves are going crazy and I don't know if it's because I'm scared for this fight, or if it's because this is my first time home since the beginning. But I can safely say it's most likely both are the reasons why.

A familiar hand intertwines with mine calming my shakey nerves. I look at Claire who's wearing a comforting smile on her face.

"We got this baby." I take a deep breath and open the door. Home sweet home.
