*Dylan's Pov*

It's been a couple days since Johnny woke up and food has been getting low. We've barely been able to find any animals to hunt or berries to pick, because of growlers eating the animals and trampling over the berries. We've tried to find food in houses and groceries stores, but couldn't find much.

Right now I'm in the woods hunting with Troy, Justin, and Riley. These past few days I've noticed the big crush Troy has on Riley and it's adorable. It reminds me of the crush I had on Olivia. Hopefully Mark doesn't mind them being a couple, he seems pretty overprotective.

I hear a crack of a stick and I quickly draw back my bow to the direction. Two hands pop up behind a tree in surrender.

"S..Sorry it's me, please don't puncture me with that arrow." Riley said panicky. I put my arrow back in it's quiver.

"Sorry about that, thought you were a growler." I apologized rubbing the back of my neck. She steps out from behind the tree, leaning on it folding her arms. She's wearing blue jeans with a black t-shirt, a brown button up jacket, with her braided black hair in a ponytail. She also has a gray backpack on her back and a knife strapped to her right leg.

"I..I just wanted to say thank you for convincing my dad to let me come out here. I know he can be really overprotective of me, especially with how the world is now." She sighed.

"No problem. We all need to pull our weight in the group and I can tell you haven't killed anything yet."

"Is it that obvious?"

"Yep, but don't worry we can teach you." I smiled.

"T..Thanks."

"Let's go check the traps." She nods in response. We head towards the rabbit traps I set up earlier in the day. As we walk I've noticed how quiet it is around here.

"So who taught you how to hunt?" Riley asked.

"Johnny's dad, David. He was a cop and used to take us camping in the summer. He taught me how to use a rifle, then later on I ended up teaching myself how to use a bow and arrow."

"What if you ran out of arrows what then?"

"Well I always try to collect the arrows I shoot, and I also craft my own arrows. But always have your knife ready, never know when you have to be in close combat."

"Hm, so do you know how to make a bow from scratch too?"

"I do actually. I'm gonna guess the next question you're gonna ask is can I make one for you, and can I teach you."

"Okay now you're freaking me out. Are you like a mind reader or something?" I laugh at her ridiculousness.

"I'm just really good at reading people. But I'd love to teach you how to use a bow."

"T..Thank you."

We stop at one of the traps I set up to find a rabbit caught in it. I kneel down taking the string off it's snapped neck, putting the rabbit in my bag, setting the trap back up.

"A couple more will feed everyone tonight." I sighed.

"C..Can I ask you something?"
