2: All Falls Down

*Johnny's Pov*

How the hell did this happened, what are these things, no they were people what the hell is going on!?! Those are questions for later, right now all I need to focus on is finding Claire and Dylan. Olivia and I checked all around the school while trying not to die.

"Johnny do you think that they left the school?" Olivia asked.

"Your right we checked everywhere for them inside they might be out-" I paused. There is one spot that I didn't even think of looking at "our spot". When Claire and I was celebrating our five year anniversary, I took her to this spot that felt like you were in and out of time, where nothing can stress you out, where nobody goes but us "The Roof".

"The Roof, let's go I know a shortcut from here." I tell Olivia hoping they are there and she follows. We dart up the stairs leading to the roof, with those things tailing us I damn near break down the roof door. Olivia and I burst through the door and immeditally try to close it shut, but whatever these things are really want out too. There's a lot of them, Olivia and I can barley hold them back.

"I see you brung some friends." A familiar voice says to us.

"Dylan!!" Olivia and I say at the same time. He helps us push it shut. I can hear groaning and a few of them stumble and fall from the force. Olivia gives Dylan a giant hug and then we do our bro shake and then a hug which doesn't end on a hug but in this case it was appropriate.

"Dylan please tell me she's he-" I stopped speaking with tears going down my eyes as they land on Claire. Her eyes are so red from crying and seeing me made her cry even more. We ran to each other and we hugged so tightly.

"I-I thought I lost you." She whispers in my ear with a cracked voice. She begins to cry even more of the thought of losing me. I hold her tighter.

"You can never lose me baby even when I'm not with you I'd always find my way back to you." She pulls away so her lips can meet mine. Her lips are so soft and sweet.

"Guys I hate to break up the reunion but how the hell are we gonna get down from here." Dylan chimed in.

"There's some rope over there." Claire points out.

"Oh? Why the hell is there rope up here?" Dylan asks then pauses. "Ohhh y'alls some freaks." We all couldn't hold back a smile.

"No it's not for that. Claire was paranoid that we'd get stuck up here so I took some rope from my garage." I explained and Dylan gives me the yeah right look and I shrug.

"Before we do anything can we please take a breather and gather our thoughts on what the hell is going on?" Olivia asks scared. We all agree and we start to go over what we witnessed.

Dylan was telling us how he thought it was a normal fire drill. But when he was heading down stairs and seen Nora Michaels walking with one arm and took down our star quarterback James Bennett he booked it.

Claire told us that she was in the bathroom when the alarm went off. She heard the screams and was afraid to even come out of the bathroom then one came in. If it wasn't for Dylan hearing her scream she wouldn't be here. I thanked him for protecting her. We finally decided to continue the conversation for when we make it to Dylan's car. I grab the rope and tied it to school, it's a good enough length but there's gonna be a little drop.

"Alright, Dylan do you have your keys?" I asked.

"Sir yes sir." He replies.

"Good, so this is the plan we climb down the rope one at a time, sprint to Dylan's car, and stop at my house first since its the closes, and then Claire's, then Dylan's, then Olivia. Got it?" They all nod in response. I take a deep breath, tugging the rope to make sure it's tied good. After making sure it's good I make my way down the rope. I reach the end of the rope and drop. Okay still alive, cool.

"Alright, you're up Claire." I yelled. She begins to make her way down and I can tell she is frightened.

I mumble to myself "come on baby you got this." She reaches the drop point, drops and lands on her feet. I give her a big hug.

Olivia is up next. I can tell she is hesitant. Then I think she gives Dylan a hug and leaves a kiss on the cheek before making her way down. She makes it to the drop point. She lands with no problem and Claire gives her a hug.

I can see Dylan talking himself into doing this crazy idea and then something happens he sees something behind him and tries to make it down as quickly as possible. He makes it a few inches away from the drop point the rope snaps and he lands twisting his ankle.

"Shit!" He cried as I help him up and carry him with his arm around my shoulders.

"They broke through the door and were coming for me. There were so many I had to get out of there fast." He explains not hiding the pain in his voice.

"I'm just glad your alive brother. Hand Claire the keys you need to rest that ankle man." I instructed him. With no arguement he hands Claire the keys and we make our way towards the car. We all pile in and as the car starts a body falls from the roof and splatters across the cement. It didn't get up like that scout and Nora why is that?

The drive to my house was quiet silent. It wasn't just our school that went crazy, it was everywhere. People were being eaten alive as we tried to weave through the neighborhood.

Olivia starts to take look at Dylan's ankle and is comforting him in the backseat. The closer we get to my house I start to think about my dad, I start get an unsettling feeling in my gut the same feeling I had when I found out my mom died. I already lost one parent I can't handle losing another one.

We pull into my driveway and before the car can even come to a complete stop I get out and rush into my house. The first thing I see is my dad in the kitchen grabbing knives and a gun on the counter. He spots me, puts everything down, runs over to me and gives me a good ol bear hug.

"I see your hair is still perfect." He jokes with tears going down his face.

"I'm a Ambrose remember." I cried.
