*Olivia's Pov*
"Olivia! Come out here quick!" I hear Johnny yell from outside the RV. I get up from the couch and head straight outside. My eyes land on Dylan's eyes, as he waits for Claire and Robert to clear the wall of cars, separating our camp from the rest of the road. A blonde woman in one of our green blankets, stood next to Justin shaking.
"Mark, Carlos make sure Lily stay's inside." Johnny yelled from on top of the RV.
"Got it!" Carlos yelled from inside. They walk into the camp stopping in front of me. I look Dylan in his dark brown dreamy eyes. He nods giving me a look, conforming she isn't a threat.
"Who's she? Why did you bring her here?" Johnny asked as he got down from the RV to stand next to me.
"We found her running away from growlers from the woods. There was a old man out there too in the same condition as her, he ran away screaming about spartans were chasing him. I brought her here because she has training in the medical field." Dylan explained. She glances at Dylan then back to us.
"M..My name is Jess by the way." The woman croaked out. She sounds to weak to even talk.
"What happened to your clothes?" I asked Jess.
"Sp..Sp..Spartans. Women weren't allowed to wear clothes there. I manged to escape weeks ago, but they've been on my tail ever since. I don't know how I'm alive."
Johnny takes a deep breath."Let's get you cleaned up and some clothes." Johnny told Jess as Claire and Robert came over to stand next to us. "We can see you've been through a lot, hell we have too. That's why I'm gonna say this only one time. If you even think of hurting any of the people here, you'll regret it, got that?"
Jess nods with watery eyes and a scared yet understanding look on her face. If this was before Hope I'd scowl Johnny for threatening her, but it only felt right for him to do so. Especially with our history with meeting new people. I'll be damned if we have another Phoenix and Hope incident.
"Rob, please take her to the shower and get her some food." Johnny ordered.
"On it, follow me." Robert said as he walked to the RV with Jess trailing behind him. They enter and not even seconds later Mark comes out, takes a good look at his daughter then to Dylan.
"What the hell happened out there? Why is my daughter covered in blood?" Mark asked angrely as he got close towards his daughter, not taking his eyes off Dylan.
"It's not her bloo-"
"I wasn't talking to you Troy, I asked him." He pointed at Dylan.
"I let her kill her first growler. We're all not gonna be there to protect her Mark, she has to learn how to do it herself."
"You don't get to decide that for her. She's my little girl damnit!"
"Dad stop yelling and being mad at him. You can check my body for bites if you'd like. I'd do whatever it takes to get you stop babying me. I can protect myself and make my own decisions." Riley cried out.
"Justin, Johnny please back me up here guys." Mark pleaded.
"Sorry man, I agree with Dylan. She can't be the only one who doesn't have any training. Especially since we're training Lily. That's not fair and you know it." Justin told Mark while folding his arms. Mark looks over to Johnny.
"What he said." Johnny shrugged. Mark sighs in defeat. Riley walks up to him, reaches out for his hand holding it.
"I'll always be your little girl dad. I know you're trying to protect me, but I'm going to have to keep myself safe too, even when you can't."
"I..I love you sweet pea." Mark tells her as he pulls her in for a hug.
"I love you too dad." She mumbles into his chest. I grab Dylan's hand getting his attention. He looks at me with a smile. I give him a serious look taking the smile off his face. I pull him to the side, away from everyone else.
"She's not a medic is she?" I asked him folding my arms.
"How can you tell?" He raised a brow.
"A hunch... plus the look she gave you when you said she was told me she wasn't."
"Nothing gets by you." He chuckled.
"Why'd you lie?"
"I knew if she didn't have anything to offer to the group, we'd have to turn her away. I know we're struggling but we can still at least try to help people out there. I mean like there's some good people out there still...I hope. They don't deserve to fend for themselves, at least without given a chance." Dylan explained while looking at me like a sad puppy. I give him a death glare.
"You sure it's not because you seen all her goodies?"
"Trust me the only goodies I want in my life is yours baby."
"It better be." I mumbled as he pulled me in, kissing me sweetly on my lips. I couldn't help but smile into the kiss. He pulls away and like always I miss the touch of his lips on mine.
"I love you...and your goodies." He smiled.
"I love you and your caring yet perverted brain of yours." I chuckled. He gives me a kiss on the forehead, then intertwines his fingers with mine as we walk back to the RV.
We enter the RV, then sat on the coach next to Simon. The sound of the shower running filled the RV.
"Did you guys find any food?" Simon said breaking the silence.
"We found a few rabbits, and picked some berries. I'm thinking we're gonna need to head into the city to salvage some food." Dylan explained.
"Please let me go on the trip dude. I really need to go to the comic store." Simon pleaded.
"Yeah I don't see why not." Dylan chuckled. Simon smiled and gave him a fist bump before getting up to check on Lily.
"I"m coming too. I need to grab some medical supplies, and we'll need a lot more since the baby's gonna be coming closer. Which reminds me we need a plan for when the baby does come. Like she's gonna be screaming a lot and that's gonna track lots of growlers our way. I'm so nervous. I never done something like this before and what if I suck at it? What if-"
My rambling was cut off by Dylan's lips clasping onto mine sweetly. I love when he does that. After a few more seconds his lips separated mine. I hated when he did that cause as always I miss them.
"You're gonna crush it baby. And when it does come down to delivering the baby, your nerves will be obsolete once your in action. Like once you saved Depp." He smiled bringing a cheerful grin to my face. With the trip we're going to have to take in my mind, I realized these next few days can go either great or absolutely horrible.
