*Dylan's Pov*

My eyes widen open from the slumber that took over me last night. Thomas and I were up all day and night testing for cures for the past couple days, spending most of my mornings with Lily again. Of course they had growler test subjects strapped to tables. We had to take an elevator to a testing facility. I really hate that this is my life now.

I get out of bed wearing nothing but my boxers and head to the bathroom to take a quick shower. After drying myself off I put on some simple grey sweatpants, with a matching grey hoodie, that I found in the dresser. I put on my black Addida's sneakers that I came here with.

A small knock on the door came as I was tightening my shoelaces. I look up and seen Lily in a yellow sundress with white polka dots. She has on a matching pair of yellow flats. Her curly hair is down, not like last time when she had it in a ponytail.

"Hey bestiee." She said while skipping into the room.

"Sup lil sis." I replied as I sat up on the bed. I watched as her face lit up at what I just called her. She waddled over to me like a happy penguin and gave me a big hug.

"What's this for?" I chuckled out.

"Cause you're awesomeness!" She answered. I couldn't help but smile as I hug her back. She pulls away and hop up on the bed next to me.

"You're honestly the best person I've met in this place." I nudged her arm with my elbow.

"I am the coolest most nicest person here." She giggles. I chuckled as I nod my head.

"Don't forget the smartest, you are pretty smart for an eight year old."

"I'm nine and I'm flattered you think me so young." She said like she was the queen of England.

"Well I'm sorry miss, I'm afraid I don't know were my manners are at. It's not right for a man to guess a womans age." I said in my best british accent impression. We both laugh.

"You're so good at that." She giggled out.

"Yeah I learned from my friend Johnny's dad, David. He was like a dad to me and Johnny is..or was my brother." I sighed. It's still hard to believe that my family is most likely dead. And that it's my parents fault that we are in this predicament. I feel a small hand touch my arm slightly throwing me out of my thoughts. I look over to Lily who has a worried look on her face.

"Are those the friends you were with before you got here?" She asked.

"Yeah it is. David died a couple months back. While Johnny, his wife Claire, and my g..girlfriend Olivia lived at this school with good people, except for one asshole who can rot in hell. What my mother did to get me here is unforgivable. And I don't even know if they are alive or not to be honest and it really sucks."

Lily didn't say a word, she just looked sad for me. Her eyebrows raised as what seems like an idea came to her mind.

"Come with me." Was all she said as she grabbed my hand and got out of the bed. I stood still holding her little hand and we walked out the room. We walked all the way to the tent I seen yesterday with all the radio's in it. I raise my eyebrow to Lily and a small grin is on her face.
