desc: after coming home from a stressful day at work, dom is quick to try relax you and calm you down, he knows brushing your hair is one of the number 1 things that help relax you so he takes his time to brush out his hair and mess with it

"for piss sake" you whined as you dropped your keys right outside the front door. your work day had been stressful as hell, granted any day in retail was never smooth sailing but today has just been especially difficult.

it wasn't anything particularly big but it had just been a consistent stream of people being annoying and finding ways to get on your nerves. you were pretty easily stressed, self admittedly, so you were a little more than relieved when your shift ended.

you leant down, picking up your keys as you opened the door to the house. you opened the front door and dropped your bag by the door as you pulled off your shoes, your keys sat on the hall table. "y/n?" dom called.

"i'm home!" you responded as dom came into the hallway. "how was your day love?" dom asked before seeing how tired you seemed. "pretty shit to be honest" you sighed before immediately feeling dom's arms around you.

he had you picked up in his arms, cradling you as though you were a baby. "it's okay, i've got you now" he said softly, his hands running through your hair gently. him playing with your hair always relaxed you and calmed you down.

he carried you to the bedroom as both of you lay down on the bed softly. you pulled off your jacket and changed into a shirt and a pair of shorts. you lay your head in his lap as he began running his hands through your hair.

you let out a little giggle as dom played with your hair. you loved dom playing with your hair it was one of your favourite things he did. and dom knew that you absolutely loved it. you felt his fingers wrap around your hair as you shut your eyes softly.

dom reached over for your hairbrush as he began softly brushing out your hair. he ran it through gently, taking his time to slowly brush through your hair. you moved your hair back as dom continued to brush through your hair.

after a while he momentarily stopped, leaning over to get his laptop up. he grabbed his laptop and turned on netflix, putting on one of your favourite studio ghibli movies. you'd always loved those movies, they were always super relaxing to you.

as you leant to your side to watch the movie, dom leant against the pillows on your bed. your head was resting on dom's lap as he giggled momentarily at jokes and random things that just made him laugh in the movie.

after a while, you were practically falling asleep. your eyes fluttered open and shut momentarily as your body relaxed into dom's arms. he could feel you were tired but decided to let you sleep. after a while longer, you were fast asleep in dom's arms.

"y/n?" dom asked. there was no reply from you. "are you asleep?" he cooed. you didn't reply again. he knew you were asleep then as he kissed your forehead gently. "goodnight y/n, i love you" he smiled.
