Desc: You're finally going home to Doncaster, meeting Dom's parents. You're from the South of England, so Dom decides to show you his hometown, giving you the full Northern England experience.
"C'mon love, we've got the train to catch," Dom said, standing in the hallway. You grabbed your suitcase, walking to the hall. "There you are," Dom said, wrapping his arms around your shoulder as he walked with you.
Walking together, you left the house, walking down the stairs together. "I'm so excited for you to come to Donny with me," He beamed as you went to the train station. "It's not like you've said it 10,000 times," You smirked.
Dom was so excited for you to come to Doncaster with him. He loved his hometown and he wanted to show you around it. You'd also never met his family properly, and him being so close with his mum, he really wanted you to meet her.
Getting onto the train, he opened his phone to text his mum. Messaging his mum that you were on the train, you lay your head on his shoulder. "What's up my love?" He asked, rubbing a soothing circle on your shoulder.
"I'm just nervous, what if your parents don't like me?" You asked. Dom let out a little sigh, reaching over for your hand, rubbing his thumb over your fingers. "They'll love you darling, I promise you," He said, kissing your cheek.
You tried to accept it, nodding as Dom lifted your hand, kissing it gently. A soft smile spread on your lips at his affection, trying to soothe your nerves. He pulled you into a hug, your head against his chest.
As you pulled up into the Doncaster station, Dom quickly grabbed your suitcases and bags. Taking all the bags, you walked out of the station. Immediately, he saw his mum, running to give her a hug, completely ditching the bags.
Letting out a small laugh, you grabbed the bags, pulling them along as you walked up to the two of them. "I missed you mum!" Dom said, wrapping his arms tightly around her. You smirked, hearing his voice.
His accent got more prominent whenever he was back at home, or when he was talking to his family. "So you must be Y/N!" Sam said, excitedly. "In the flesh!" You joked, her giving you a big hug. Dom smiled seeing you both hugging.
Leaving the hug, Dom collected the bags, going back to his house. Driving up to the house, Sam began telling embarrassing childhood stories about Dom. "Oh MUM! DON'T TELL HER THAT!" Dom shouted.
You were practically dying of laughter, Sam had just told you a story about her finding Dom wearing two pairs of underwear, one on his head and one actually where he was meant to wear it. He didn't seem to be too pleased.
"Mum I was like fooking five!" Dom shouted. "Dominic Harrison! Language!" Sam scolded. He groaned, you knew he hated being Dominic. "Maybe I should call you Dominic more, honestly," You scoffed.
"Don't you dare," Dom said, firmly. As you and Dom pulled up to the house, you dropped off your bags. "Mum, I was thinking of showing Y/N around Donny for a bit," Dom said, his hand in yours.
"Okay, but text me if you're staying out after 9, I just want to know you're okay," Sam said. Both of you nodded, Dom leading you away down a street. You had no idea where you were going, but Dom knew.
He showed you around some vinyl stores, guitar stores, it was all amazing. He was going on and on about different childhood stories but you loved hearing about it. He always wondered if he was bothering you with things like this.
But he was doing nothing of the sort. You loved hearing his stories, the looks in his eyes and face when he was there, in that moment, talking to you. As he explained, your stomach rumbled. "Someone's hungry," He teased.
"Yes I am. Now can we please go get something to eat?!" You whined, crossing your arms. "Of course, c'mon. We'll go get some chips. No place does chips better than the North, swear to God," He said, taking your hand.
"It's not like you don't tell me that 24/7," You scoffed endearingly. Dom smiled, wrapping his hand tighter around yours. "But I'm right," He insisted as you went into the local chip store. Ordering together, you sat on the table, waiting for the order.
As the order arrived, Dom took the bag, walking outside. "I wanna show you somewhere," Dom said, walking across the street. After walking for 10 minutes or so, he took you to behind the park, and up to a bridge.
No-one was there on the bridge, it seemed quiet and abandoned. The bridge had a perfect view of Doncaster and a gasp left your lips seeing it. "Oh Dom, it's beautiful!" You said, looking over at him, him taking out the food.
"I used to come here when I was younger. I wrote some of my earliest songs here," He said as you ate. He lay his head on your shoulder as you ate together. The sun had set by now and the moonlight was reflecting onto his eyes.
His gorgeous green eyes. You ate together, just enjoying the moment, him singing some of your favourite songs of his underneath your breath. Taking your hand, Dom got up. "We should probably get back before ma mum starts worrying," He said.
You smiled, hearing his accent shining through. Walking back to the house, you felt a bigger sense of closeness than you could ever imagine. Him taking you to a place which was so special to him, it made you feel closer than ever.
"Did you two have a nice time?" Sam asked as you walked into the house. You nodded. "A great time," Dom said, lifting your hand and kissing it. "Oh pack it in, I don't wanna see your affection," Izzy scoffed, rolling her eyes.
