The next morning, you woke up early because you wanted to take a jog. You wash up first before changing into your sportswear. As soon as you stepped out of the house, you take a huge breath before plugging in your earphones and jogging away.

While you were running halfway, you noticed someone following behind you. You paid no attention to the person at first since you assumed that he was just another person who was jogging. You decided to change your route and noticed that he was following. You started to jog faster, making sure that he would lose sight of you but he still caught up to you.

Fine. If he won't leave you alone, you'll just have to confront him. You stopped on your tracks, pulling your headphones off. "Okay, Mister—" You gave him a weird look because he put his hand out, the palm facing you. He takes in deep breaths then faces you.

"(Random Name)? My gosh, I thought you were a stalker or just some creepy guy following me."

"I was calling out your name the whole time!"

"Oh, my volume was put to the max. Sorry about that."

"W-Wait, just let me catch my breath."

"How about we take a seat by the bench? It's just a few steps from here." You suggest and he nods in response. As soon as he takes a seat, he stretches his arms and makes himself comfortable. "Oh, this is the place where we first met." He says. "Yeah, wait for me here." You say, searching your pockets for something. "Where are you going?" He asks. You didn't reply to him and head to the vending machine.

You insert a bill and press onto the button before two bottles of (Favorite Drink) rolls down. You pick them up and jog towards (Random Name) before handing him the drink. "You don't have to, you know?" He says, opening the cap of the bottle. "Here." He hands you the opened bottle to you. "Thanks." You hand him the unopened one before taking a sip. You both didn't talk until (Random Name) spoke up.

"So... What happened last night?"

"Ugh."

"Or did you get drunk and forgot about what happened?"

"More of like I don't want to remember." You roll your eyes. "Anyways, what about you and Cordelia? Wasn't she onto you?"

"Oh God. Don't remind me about that."

"Hmm, let me guess. You guys did it?"

"Hell no! I had to ask (Random Name#2) to come and help me out. I managed to escape from her but I felt sorry for (Random Name#2). He's got a black eye."

"Oh my gosh. Is he okay?"

"Yeah. He won't stop bugging me for a PS4."

"Well, you better give him one. He deserves it."

"Well, you deserve an apology from me." He says, making eye contact with you. "Huh?" You look at him with a confused expression. "Why?" You ask. "I disappeared out on you." He replies. "It doesn't matter. Nothing happened anyway." You shrug, not wanting to remember that cheater anymore. "I just wished that I could've been with you at that moment." You didn't say anything and took a sip from the bottle.

"I like you." He suddenly confesses, making you spit out your drink. He quickly hands you his handkerchief and gently wipes your mouth. "Pardon?"

"Never mind. I think I'm not sober enough yet." He chuckles, running a hand through his hair as he was embarrassed of his own words. You heard what he said for the first time but you wanted him to repeat it again to confirm that you're not just hearing things. "Did you just say you like me?"

"Oh, You heard it." He mutters under his breath. "Yes. I don't expect you to like me back though." He nervously laughs, trying to make it less awkward for him. "Well, we could give it a try." You suggest. "Wait, can you hit me or pinch me or something?" You pinch his arm and he yelps in pain. "Okay, I'm not dreaming."

"Gosh, you're so silly." You giggle, gently slapping his arm. "So... it's a yes?"

"Me being your girlfriend? Well, if you want to."

"W-Wait, I don't think I'm ready for that yet." He says. "I want to court you first before becoming an official couple." He adds. You pull out your phone and check your schedule. "I'm free today." You say to him. "That's great! Can I take you out for lunch then?" He asks, a tint of pink spreads across his cheek as he patiently waits for your answer. "Yes, you can."
