You quickly exit the room and see Karlheinz and Reiji bickering. Since they were too engrossed in bickering that they didn't notice you, you decided to get their attention by clearing your throat. "(First Name)!" Karlheinz gave you a huge hug. "I knew I shouldn't have let you go on this mission." Reiji overhears what he says and scoffs.
"You're crazy old man."
"You're crazier. Where the hell are the women?"
"Follow me."
Reiji walks away. You and Karlheinz follow behind him. He opens a door which revealed all the women as wax figures. "What did you do to them?!" You exclaim in disbelief. "I kept these as evidences. You're catching the wrong person."
"What are you guys doing here?" A man with white hair enters the scene. "Subaru." Karlheinz says, eyeing his son. "Just came for a little visit." He emphasizes the last word. You see Subaru glare at Reiji. "I'm leaving." Subaru clenches his fists and starts walking away. "Oh no you're not." You started chasing Subaru but he starts running away as well. "I can't keep protecting you forever Subaru..." Reiji sighs as he stares at Subaru's retreating figure. "Why didn't you tell me son?" Karlheinz asks Reiji. "He's my sibling."
"I'm sorry. I've wronged you for all this time."
"It doesn't matter."
Karlheinz approaches Reiji and hugs him. "I'm sorry."
[Two Hours Later in the HQ]
Subaru was caught and is being questioned. "Why do you do this?" Subaru clicks his tongue. "Isn't it obvious? It all started with what you people call a father." Karlheinz could only stare sadly at Subaru. "I forbade you yet you still kept seeing her."
"I love her!"
"She was only using you for money. When can you open your eyes and see?"
"Yui isn't like that!"
"He's been bewitched." Ayato chimes in. Shu wasn't paying attention at all as he was listening to music while Kanato was on the couch holding ice onto his left eye. "I love her and she loves me."
"What you meant to say is loved." Karlheinz gestures Ayato to show him a file. Subaru opens it and sees photos of Yui together with a man. "He's the son of the prime minister." Subaru flips through the photos and throws it onto the ground. "Stop lying to me! You all are liars!"
"Exit the room (First Name)."
"But..."
"I can handle this. He's my son after all."
"Understood."
You exit the room and sit onto the couch in Karlheinz's office. "I failed my mission, didn't I?" You question yourself. "Not quite." Someone answers. You turn around to see Reiji who approached the other couch. "How would you know?"
"Forgive me."
"Yeah..."
You turn away and glance outside the large windows. "Say, do you remember what happened last night?" He asks. You ponder for a while but you couldn't remember anything. "No. Why?"
"I see. Nothing."
He glances the room for a while before standing up and straightening his clothes. "Then, I'll be leaving."
"So soon?"
"Yes. I have to go back to my company."
"Let me see you out at least."
As you both reach the door, he stops on his tracks. "You really don't remember what happened last night?" You shook your head and he smiles bitterly. "Alright." He places a hand on top of your head and ruffles it. "Good bye."
He leaves with a heavy atmosphere. He was the only one who could remembers that night of pure bliss. Oh how he felt like an idiot for having to ask you those questions. In the end, it was all requited. With that, he promised himself not to fall again and to forget you.
