You didn't eat for the past few days after Laito fell into a coma. You have been taking care of him like changing his sleep wear, washing his hair and making sure he had his daily blood supply yet he wasn't going to wake up. His father had cut all ties with him but your mom still contacted you but you didn't want to answer her. You were still disappointed by the fact that she was marrying Laito's father.
You tried to feed Laito medicine yet none of it seems to be working. You began asking help from the eldest Sakamaki brother, Reiji. He said it was too risky as he didn't know if the medicine he'll make will have a positive outcome since he had heard of other vampires making and taking the same medicine but in the end, they passed away. If this was the only way, you would rather try than to do nothing.
A few months passed. There were still no changes only that Laito's appearance was getting older. Wrinkles were forming on his face, slowly tainting his handsome features. "Reiji, what should we do?" You glance at him with your eyebrows furrowing. "We have to wait (First Name). Although his condition isn't as good as it is, all we can do is wait." You sigh, enclasping his hand on yours. "Okay..."
Reiji finally developed the medicine and tried a few drops onto Laito but his condition got worse. Laito's skin was getting dry and more wrinkles started to show. "Are you sure your ingredients are good for him? For a vampire?"
"I know my work best (First Name)."
"Then why is this happening?"
"I don't know either... I'll message Subaru about it. Maybe he knows."
A few days passed painstakingly and Reiji got his answer from Subaru. The medicine was lacking two ingredients: four liters of blood from a lover and a vampire horn. "I can give my blood." You volunteer. "Are you crazy?" Subaru looks at you. "I won't die. You can take half a liter of blood from me every week." Subaru nods his head, understanding the situation. "Where can we get the vampire horn?" You ask. Reiji and Subaru glances at each other. "You're not going to like this." Subaru says.
"What? Why?"
"A vampire horn grows in every vampires only when they reach the age of a 1000 years old."
"Then let's go get it? Do you know anyone?"
"(First Name)... It won't be easy."
"Why not?"
"Only one vampire reached the age of a 1000 years old. He's... our father."
You storm into the mansion where your mom and her lover were staying. You barge into a room to see the both of them kissing. You turn around in disgust. "Don't you know how to knock?" Karlheinz glares at you. "I would know how to knock if you hand me a vampire horn."
"Silly little girl. What makes you think I'll hand it to you so easy?"
"Your son is in danger! Don't you care?"
"I stopped caring not to long ago."
You scream in frustration. "Hand it to me!" You scream at him. "No." He flatly says. "Why not?" You glare at him. "I'll give it to you in one condition."
"What condition?"
"Would you like to hear it?"
You wanted to say no. You knew the condition was only going to benefit Karlheinz but you remembered Laito. You didn't want to lose him and so you said,
