You couldn't believe he cheated on you with your best friend. Among all the people, it had to be Yui. You started packing your things from your shared apartment and decided to leave. You left the spare key that Kino has given to you on top of the table. You took one last glance of the room and closed the door behind you, leaving behind a room full of memories.
As days passed, although you kept receiving numerous calls and messages from Kino, you felt better as you met up with your old friends, namely the Sakamaki brothers. You told them your story and they have sympathized with you and cursed Kino for having to leave you and get together with such an ugly girl. Although the Sakamaki brothers have lived with Yui for a few months, they didn't like her at all. They wanted to make her into a wax figure but they had changed their ways.
Your mood drastically changes as you see Laito trying to flirt with the waitress but the waitress rejects him by spilling water onto him. You never felt so happy ever since that break up. "Come on now. You're making a fool out of yourself." Reiji gives him tissue to wipe himself. Ayato snickers before eating a piece of takoyaki. "So, what do you do know (First Name)?" Subaru asks, a little curious about your wellbeing.
"I'm currently a (Job Title)."
"Woah, that's so cool." Kanato praises. "I wish I could do that too."
"Nah, you're too dumb." Laito puts his tongue out at Kanato.
"The dumbest one here is you Laito."
Every sakamaki brother started saying, "Here here" which made Laito slump down on his seat. "Whatever you guys." Laito rolls his eyes. "At least I'm the hottest one here."
Shu stifled a laugh which earned a glare from Laito. "I'm probably the hottest one here, alright?" Everyone agreed once again which made Laito quiet.
As Ayato glances up, he sees two familiar figure. "Hey, isn't that Kino and bitch-chan?" He nudges you. You look up to see them in the same café that you were hanging out with the brothers. "Should we leave?" Kanato asks. You shake your head. "He doesn't affect me anymore." Reiji gives you a thumbs up, praising you.
"Oh, well isn't it my best friend (First Name) and my friends!" You hear her girly voice near your table. "Meet my boyfriend, Kino!" Laito silently rolls his eyes while Shu raised the volume of his music higher. Ayato started gobbling the takoyaki as to ignore them and Kanato was talking to his teddy bear while Subaru looked out the window. Reiji smiles a bit at them before turning his attention back to us. "Aww don't be shy. He's a vampire like you guys."
No one wanted to talk to Yui. As you glance up a bit, you see that Kino had lost a significant amount of weight. You could also see the dark bags under his eyes. "I'm done eating, should we pay and leave?" Ayato muffles as he still has pieces of takoyaki in his mouth. "Agreed. I'll get the car ready." Reiji leaves his seat to prepare the car. Shu, being the oldest brother, paid for the bill. "Aww, you're leaving already? But we just got here." Yui says, pushing Laito to sit the empty seat that Reiji sat on. There she sat along with Kino on the table.
Kino glances up to you and sees that you're happy. He felt a churning pain in the pit of his stomach on how he treated you before. He thought that he had everything but now he had nothing. "The car is ready everyone!" Kanato jumps out of his seat and rushes to take the front seat. Subaru quietly exits followed by Ayato and Shu. "Bye." You say before leaving the café. "Bye." Kino says, barely a whisper. His heart ached but he decided to let you go although it he wanted you stay but he thought that letting you go would hurt less. At least he saw you one last time before you will never appear in front of him ever again.
