Laito didn't like how Ayato took you to homecoming first before he did though it was his fault that he didn't attend prom last year since he was hanging out with girls in a club. The reason why he went to the club was to forget about you. He had a crush on you ever since he laid eyes on you but he felt like you were so close yet so far away. At that time, you were Ayato's boyfriend but now you broke up with him because he had cheated on you with Yui. Now that you're single, Laito was ready to mingle.
You were walking down the hallways with Abby until Laito pops out from the corner. "Why hello there, beautiful." He hands you a rose before grabbing your hand to place a kiss on it. "Oh, hi Laito." You say as you retract back your hand. You knew that Laito was Ayato's brother but why was he acting so close towards you? You also knew that Laito was a playboy and detested guys like him. Maybe his next target was you? "See you later, beautiful." He winks at you and leaves. You look at Abby who was giving you a look. "No thanks. I don't like guys like him."
Abby laughs at your statement and hands you a wet tissue. You wipe the hand where Laito had kissed you. You threw the tissue to the nearest trash can and attended class with Abby. Every time you were done with class, Laito would wait outside and hand you a rose. It was already dismissal and you have already collected about six roses now. The next day, Laito had given you nine roses. It was weird at first on why he would give you six on the first day and nine on the second. You asked Abby about it and she rolled her eyes. "He's a douche. It's sixty nine." You were shocked with what Abby had said. What kind of guy would give the girl he likes a specific number of roses that imply that kind of meaning?
Laito was waiting outside your classroom. "Hi there, beautiful!" You wanted to ignore him but you weren't like that so you gave him a small smile instead before turning in a different direction. "Hey, wait up." He catches up to you. "I heard that homecoming is just around the corner and was hoping you'd be my partner."
"Oh really? Why me?"
"We'll look good together." You didn't like how he phrased that so you rejected him. "Sorry, I'm going with someone already." You lied. "Oh." Was all he could say. "Then maybe next year?" He says. "Maybe." You said and walked faster away from him. He didn't understand why you were cold with him and consulted his brother Reiji. "You gave her six roses one the first day and nine on the next? You're such an idiot. Who told you that it meant I love you anyways?"
"Ayato."
"Why would you believe in your crush's ex-boyfriend?"
"Damn that son of a b*tch."
"Why don't you give her five hundred five roses more?"
"Why?"
"Search that up yourself, brother." With that Reiji left Laito. When Laito searched it up in the internet, he immediately knew what it meant. The next day, Laito had brought (Favorite Color) rose with a handwritten letter and placed it on your seat. You were the only one in the classroom since you like to arrive early and review a little bit before starting the class. You open the letter to read Laito's apology about the roses and his behavior and hopes that you would forgive him. It also stated in the letter that he wanted to give you four hundred fifty one more roses but he feels like that a favorite color of your rose would suffice.
Six roses, nine roses, then four hundred fifty one roses. When your first class ended, you see that Laito was waiting outside for you. "Hey. Did you see the latter and the rose?" He asks. "Yeah I did." You reply. "But I don't understand. Six, nine, and five hundred five. What are you implying?"
"Add it up."
"Five hundred twenty."
"Yeah?"
"Well, in China, it meant I love you."
"But... we're in Japan."
"I... um, sorry. I just wanted to tell you that I like you." He confesses. It was weird to date your ex-boyfriend's brother though since you would see your ex-boyfriend again. "I'm sorry I can't return your feelings but I could accept your offer to be your partner for homecoming." Even if you rejected Laito, he still felt like he won in a lotto. "Thank you. This means a lot to me." When he went home, he made sure to give Ayato a beating. "What is wrong with you?" Ayato screams at Laito who was smiling triumphantly. "That's what you deserve." He says as he looks at Ayato's black eye. "Now you won't get to be crowned prom king again. This time it'll be me."
"Hah, sucks for you because you don't have a partner. Nobody would go out with your playboy personality!"
"Oh yeah? Say hello to your ex-girlfriend."
The day of homecoming arrived and the theme was still the 16th century since everyone liked the theme. Laito wore a matching white suit along with a fedora. It enhanced his features made him look like an innocent guy instead of a playboy. When it was time to announce who was the next prom king and queen, Laito made sure to fix his tie. "Aren't you an assumer?" You giggle at his actions. "I may have rigged the vote." He whispers. "What?"
"And the next prom king and queen for this homecoming are Laito Sakamaki and (First Name) (Last Name)! Congratulations!" The host announces. You look at Laito in disbelief and he winks at you. Laito grabs the microphone and spoke, "Ayato, you suck bro!" and bowed after the speech.
