What Subaru disliked the most was prom. He hated being a large gathering and since he was the youngest, he had to attend prom just like how his brothers attended theirs too. Subaru wanted to sit out of it but he disliked the idea that all five of his brothers had attended prom so he decided to go under one condition— he'll wear a mask. His brothers agreed and made sure that he looked presentable.
Subaru started his day with Ayato preparing him his breakfast. Laito was busy calling the tailor for Subaru's outfit. Shu was preparing the music for him to practice the dance later. Soon after Subaru finished eating, Reiji gave him a brief talk about fine dining and the dos and don'ts during prom. Last but not the least, Kanato gave him a pat on the back. Although it wasn't much, Subaru could feel his sincerity.
You were actually shocked to know that Subaru was going to prom. As his girlfriend for one year and a half, you knew that Subaru didn't like large crowds. You already had a partner who had asked you to go with him and you accepted. Now that Subaru was going, you had politely told your partner that you were going with Subaru. He told told you it was fine and he would find another partner.
Laito wanted to make Subaru's first prom to be as grand as possible so he bought a limousine, only to be scolded by Reiji as Laito stole his credit card without him knowing. "Calm down!" Laito tries to run away from Reiji who was fuming. "I am calm. Just pay me double the amount." Reiji replies. Laito felt like his soul had left him and fainted. The price of the limousine was an eight digit number and since his math was bad, he thought he had to pay him back sixteen digits.
"Are we ready?" Shu asks everyone. Everyone nodded except Laito. Kanato quickly goes to his side, grabs his hand and makes a thumbs up. "Let's go." Reiji says as he takes the driver's seat. Inside the limousine is a wide space with a large television in front. There was a mini-bar and Ayato was thirsty. He grabbed a bottle and spilled the content inside a cup. He takes a sip and exclaims in excitement. "Woah! This is the stuff! Come try it." He grabs some cups, fills them, and hands it to everyone, even Reiji. "What's this?" Reiji asks. "Coke." Ayato replies.
A few minutes later, everyone in the car but you was drunk. Ayato started slurring some random words, Shu was singing the lyrics to the song he was listening, Kanato was talking to the television and asking why it wasn't purple like his hair, Laito was still passed out, and Subaru became clingy. The car swerved a bit and you just remembered that Reiji was driving. "Reiji?" When you peeked at him, you noticed that there was an empty cup beside him. "Oh god. Who gave you wine?"
"Why is there four of you (First Name)?" You take off his glasses. "Oh, there's two of you now." You roll your eyes. "Stop the car!" Thank god, Reiji was kind of sober and parked the car at the side. "(First Name)..." Subaru pulled you close towards him and snuggled close. "Hey, what are you doing?"
"Don't go to my brother... stay with me."
"You're drunk Subaru."
"Drunk? Is this what it feels to be drunk?" He questions himself and looks at his hands. "Woah! I have twenty fingers!" An idea popped in his mind and he quickly takes off his shoes and socks. "I have twenty toes as well!"
Nobody had Subaru's first prom in mind and you knew that this was going to be a long night. Laito definitely missed out and would surely want to recreate it again with him not passed out.
