You were tired of everything. Being bedridden for three months, you stayed in a dull white room with no windows. If only your cancer hasn't worsen, you would have been with the Sakamaki brothers laughing around. After a few years with them, their frozen hearts have melted into a warm one. You were the reason of their genuine smiles. Their relationship as siblings has gotten better as well.
You started dating Laito as you believed he changed his ways of fooling around yet you were only lied to. You came home to greet your fiancè one night and when you saw him, you were completely disappointed. His whole neck was covered in red lipstick. His shirt was messily undone as well as his hair. He smelled like alcohol as well. Even if you were disappointed, you still managed to smile and take care of him despite the pain. "Laito, take care of yourself!" You lay him down on the couch, wiping his face with a towel.
"Mhm." His eye brows scrunches in dissatisfaction but when he opens his eyes, it warmed. "(First Name)... I love you." Those three words that made you feel loved made you feel the opposite. You squeeze your hands together, feeling the the disappointment. You didn't reply. "You know Laito..." You scrutinize his handsome features, simpering. "You shouldn't say words you don't mean." Your chest tightens as the sentence delivers out your mouth.
"What do you mean?" He raises his head up, propping himself with his elbows. He looks at you yet you paid no attention. "Get some sleep." Disappointment was etched in those words. You were going to leave, his appearance makes your heart ache but he clutches your arms, keeping you in place. He tries to give you a kiss but he missed as you moved away from him, pushing his chest away. "I'll see you tomorrow." You gave him a small smile before leaving to your room to have a good rest but your mind was not at ease. You couldn't sleep at all so you thought all night: It's Laito's first time doing this... so you let it slip.
But the sad thing is, it kept happening again and again. That was when you started feeling sick when you tended to Laito. You coughed out blood and had heavy headaches so much that your vision blurred. Whenever you took care of Laito every time after his affairs, you forgot to look after yourself as you tended to his needs first, putting him before yourself yet that didn't apply to him. You kept forgiving him because you had hopes of him changing yet his action betrays them.
"I'm home (First Name)!" This time, Laito wasn't drunk and he was happy, holding a bouquet of (favorite flowers) and a box of chocolates. You weren't there to greet him today so he was worried. He started looking for you in your room but you weren't present so he started looking around the mansion yet he did not find you as well. It was also a mystery that he didn't find his brothers present. His wracked his brain for possible places where you could be but he couldn't still find you so he waited in your room.
It was three in the morning and he heard several footsteps that belonged to his brothers. He rushed out of the room to see his brothers face to face. "Have you seen (First Name)?" His brothers only ignored him, brushing past him like a ghost. He thought and something popped into his head. He hasn't checked your comfort room yet! He rushed to the door and tried to open it yet to no avail, it wouldn't budge. "(First Name)! Open up! I have a surprise!" He got no response so he got impatient and teleported inside. His eyes widen to the sight.
Blood was splattered on the floor and they were still fresh. He stood there for ten solid minutes until Reiji came, giving him a small nudge. He was knocked out of his trance. He gave a questioning glace to his brother. Reiji pitied him so much, he gave Laito a piece of paper. That paper contained answers to everything he was looking for. The moment he did, he realized that he was too late. Everything went shattering down for him like a ton of bricks weighing on his shoulders.

His hands were clutching yours as of the moment. The brothers were at the back, expressing their grief over you pale and weak structure. You still have enough strength to open your eyes and glance around. You eyes landed on a certain face that caused you grief. You gave his hands a weak squeeze. He glances at you with worry. "Fight for me... please." His appearance worried you. Dark circles under his eyes made him look older. "I said to take care didn't I?" You had to use a little more strength in talking and it was seriously tiring you but you forgot about it as you were with the one you love.
"I can't... Not without you." He kisses the back of your hands as well as the ring on your finger, holding on to it for his dear life. You vision was turning hazy and you couldn't think straight anymore. Your body started feeling weaker as if it was shutting down slowly. Tears fall from the corner of your eyes, falling onto the pillow. "I have a request for you Laito..."
"Anything, you name it."
"Can you kiss me?"
His heart clenched at the thought of doing so. "You can't do this (First Name)! You can still fight it!" Tears fall from his eyes, dripping onto the sheets. Your eyes close, your hands slowly loses it strength. You feel warm lips covering your forehead and that made you feel at ease. The ends of your lips curved upwards and that was the last. The monitor beeps, a screeching sound indicated that you just passed away. "No! No! No!" He was unstable. Doctors rushed in, shooing all the brothers away along with Laito himself. Laito was hysterical. He was going crazy that Ayato and Kanato had to hold him down to the chair. "(First Name) wanted you to have this." Subaru shoved a piece of paper into his hands. He opened it to reveal a shiny ring. The letter read:
Dear Love,
I may not be with you the time you read this letter. I'm sorry for keeping my sickness as secret because I didn't want to worry you as you are my first priority. Yes, I am disappointed but I couldn't stay mad at you so I took care of you every time you came back home drunk and showered with kisses but don't let that make you guilty. You have showed me enough love and I will always love you so I forgive you.
