*Ellis' POV*

We stayed at the house for another month, but we began running low on supplies and infected began to show up, so we had to move on.

There was this baby carrier in the basement, I took it along with the stroller that was also in the basement. I packed the diaper bag for Henry and made sure Ellie had her things, then Nick and I took what was left and what we could take and we all left the house.

We decided to head to back to Savannah, we're in some sort of town that's not too far from Savannah. I don't remember the name of the town, but it's just a few miles away from Savannah.

We agreed to go back so we could find a house, build a dependable fence and live there. Nick explained how horrible it was being in the base where they saved people and let people live. So we decided we would go back to Savannah and try find a decent place to live.

Nick and I were concerned about Ellie, she's not the sweet and kind innocent little girl anymore, she's becoming a bit mean. I don't know how to explain it well but I know she's not the same person anymore. I kind of understand it because she's been through so much within the past two months we've been fighting for our lives. But I also don't understand where she learned to behave like this, we've always tried to be kind and caring around her, so she'd learn that it's not okay to be mean and disrespectful, but some how she still changed into this person we never wanted her to change into.

She never talked back to me or Nick, but she's been doing that lately, she doesn't play with Henry anymore and it's like she's always in a bad mood.

I figured it was because of the guards back at the base. Their attitude was horrible from what Nick has told me, she could have picked that up and started acting that way because she's learned from the guards.

We're still trying to figure out how to help her with her attitude problems but she won't talk to us without getting angry and storming off. When ever we brought the topic up she would storm off into the room. But I know I won't let her do that now, especially because we're not where I want us to be just yet.

She was walking ahead, while Henry was in the carrier which was on my back. He played with my hair, giggled whenever my hair would tickle his hands or face. My hair was pretty curly, the small curls at the back of my head stuck out of my hat.

Nick sighed, I looked over to see him looking at Ellie. "What's wrong Hun?" I asked, he nodded his head towards Ellie. "I'm really worried about Ellie, she's got such a bad attitude and I don't know why, she won't talk to me and I don't know what I could do." He said, sounding sad I sighed as I looked at her once more before looking back at him.

"Hun, she's been through so much at such a young age. She's had to live in fear every day, the only people she's been around since this started was adults. She hasn't had any friends that are her age, she lives in fear for her life, your life and maybe even mine, every single day. Every minute of the day she was worrying about us three the most, she would wake up crying from nightmares when it was just us three. I don't blame her for feeling the way she does, she's been through a lot at such a young age. Maybe she just wants space darling, she just needs to figure out how to deal with her emotions and help herself to get through what she's going through. If she's feeling the way she does and acting the way she is, I don't think we'll be any help. Just give her some time love and she'll come around." I responded, he looked down at his feet as we walked and sighed. "Okay Hun" he said, I kissed his cheek as we continued walking.

Henry began crying, I stopped and Nick helped him get out of the baby carrier and he needed a diaper change, so we stopped on the side of the road and I changed his diaper, then gave him his pacifier and we continued walking. Ellie got tired of walking so Nick carried her.
