I'll be yours

Chapter 28

I woke up not knowing where i was due to the unfamiliar surroundings of the Hemmings house.   Lukes spot in the bed was empty beside me.  I got out of bed and made my way the kitchen. I notices Liz sitting on the couch and the smell of tea hit my senses. 

        "Hi sweetie!" she exclaimed once she noticed my presence.

"Good Morning, have you seen Luke?" i asked, trying not to sound rude, but really wanting to see him.  "He's in the shower" she pointed in the direction and looked back down at her coffee.  I nodded and walked down the small hallway to the bathroom. 

I slowly opened the door and the sound of Lukes incredible voice filled my ears.  I masked my giggle by covering up my mouth with my hand while he sang the  verse to I Miss You by Blink 182.

"This sick strange darkness comes creeping on so haunting everytime" 

 I made my way to the shower curtain and pulled it to the side. "would you come home and stop this pain tonight sto- Lia!" I tried to steady my hysterical laughter as he tried to cover up with the shower curtain awkardly.  "Don't waste your time on me" I finally belted out loudly.  He looked at me like i was crazy for a second, but then smiled as he joined in "You're already the voice inside my head, I miss you"  we finished out the chorus and laughed.  He pulled me into the shower and undrneath the water.  "I'm wearing clothes" I yelled.  He pushed me against the wall of the tub and kissed me.  We were us again and it was just as amazing as it always was.  "One of us is clearly more vulnerable in this situation" Luke moitoned to himself and tried to catch his heavy breathing.  "Guess we'll continue later when the odds are equal" i said climbing out of the shower and closing the curtain behind me.

"I made eggs!" Liz called from the kitchen.  Luke came into the bedroom with a towel around his waist.  "Hey your mom made-"

"I heard her" he pushed me onto the bed and hovered over top of me.  "Um hi there?" i laughed, he pressed his lips against mine again.  His fingers traced circles on my hips as we moved in sync together.  A knock at the door caused Luke to jump off of me and fix his towel quickly.

"Yeah?" his panicky voice called out. 

"Breakfast" Liz's voice answered

"Yes mom" He rubbbed the back of his neck and worked to get dressed.  I couldnt help but laugh at him.  "What?" he asked noticing my amusement.  "Oh nothing" i said as i exited and closed the door behind me. 

        "Thankyou" i smiled as Liz set a plate of eggs in front of me.  "do you have any vinager?" i asked.

"Thats an odd request for eggs" liz laughes and set a container next to the plate.  I shrugged and poured it ontop of the eggs. 

"So hows the road been to you?"

"Good, i get sick almost every day though, and ive gained some weight but that could be from all of the junk food" i laughed.  She looked at me with a concerned expression. 

"Lia you're not pregant are you"  i flashed her a terrified look and her face softened and she placed a hand on my shoulder as she started to laugh,  I set down my fork.  The thought hadnt crossed my mind,  But Luke and I were never exactly careful.  "Im gonna go for a walk, please just tell Luke ill be back in a little while." i grabbed my jacket that was hanging on the side of a chair and ran outside.

I dialed the first number that i saw in my contacts. 

Three rings until Ashtons voice came onto the line. "Hey Lia?" he sounded confused. 

:"Hey ash can you come get me and poaaibly take me to get something at the store?" i asked trin to avoid and explanation. 

"Yeah ill be there in a few"

        Ashton pulled up beside me and i quickly got into the car.  "Hey" he smiled

"He did you get a new car?" I asked looking around at the new vehicle.  "No i had to borrow Cal's, where are we going?" He asked

"Any store"

"Do you need tampons or something?"

"Not exactly" i left it at that and didnt speak for the rest of the ride. 

"Okay we/re here just dont let me see whats in the bag when you get back" he joked. 

        "Thank you" i smiled as the woman behind the counter put a pregnacy test into the bag for me. 

I clibed back into the car and turned to ashton. 

"Ash im goin to tell you something that you have to swear not to tell another soul" I said, catching his attention quickly .

He nodded and I continued.  "I need you to take to me to a bathroom so i can use this" i pulled the test from the bag.  He stared blankly at me.  "whats that-" I turned the box around so he could read the front. 

"Oh my-"

"I know.  So im sorry but can you be the one there for me in this?" i said scared out of my mind. 

"Isnt that supposed to be luke. 

"Luke is already dealing with a lot" i thought about the pills again and whether or not he had actually given up the addiction.  

       He pulled over at a resturant.  and grabbed my hand.  "Comon"

He pulled me into the resturant and we ran quickly to the bathroom ignoring the emplyees only plastered in bright green on the large door. 

"OKay do your thing" he pushed me toward the stall.

I follwed the directions on the bbox and set the test on the sink. 

"So three minutes" i sighed walking over to him. 

"Are you okay?" He asked moving toward me as well.

i nodded.  He placed a hand on my shoulder. 

"No you're not" he told me quietly.
