The next two days were spent like that. My laying in bed, watching tv, and skipping classes. I avoided talking to anybody, turned my phone off, and barely ate anything except for saltine crackers. On Thursday, I decided that I had made the worst decision ever, but I couldn't do anything about it. I swung My legs over the edge of the bed and sat up, grabbing my phone. 12 messages from Andy. 1 from Luke. I decided to read the only messages I really wanted to.
Luke: Hey, sorry If you tried to call. I was at a show, I'm sorry if I did anything wrong. Let me know when you get this.
Me: Hey I'm sorry I've been really busy catching up on school. I'll call you today after class.
Luke: k
I stood up, and went to take a shower. As the warm water hit my face, I thought about how I would explain any of what happened to Luke. Every possible explanation led to me not caring enough about him. And that wasn't true at all. I decided on just telling him the truth and hoping for the best.
"You decided to join the rest of the world." Katie said as I was making my way to the door. "You better fix what you did because you know if I were in your shoes it would be a different story" I ignored her comment and shut the door behind me.

I don't know why I thought it would be a good idea. But I decided to take a detour to the hotel room that I spent most of my time with Luke at. I heard pounding as I turned the corner of the long hallway. "Michael fucking Clifford you better open this goddam door" I saw a tall girl, about my age bashing her fists on the door. She was a little intimidating, but that could've been because she was punching the hell out of a door. "Michael's not in there" I said quietly. "Oh, whatever who are you?" she turned to me, her face softening. I thought I saw a flicker of embarrassment in her eyes. But it quickly left, replacing itself with confidence. A section of her hair was shaved and most of it was purple. Her makeup was sparse, but still noticeable. "I'm Lia. I'm friends with The guys" I explained. Sitting down on the ground. "Oh. You're not like a groupie are you?" She sat down next to me. "No, they don't have groupies. I just had or have I don't really know but something went on with Luke and I" I tripped over my words. "Oh" she nodded. "I hooked up with Michael and then he left apparently" she explained.
"Ouch. He didn't seem like that kind of guy"
"Yeah well life sucks" she stood up. "Hey o locked myself out of my room can you let me in?" She caught a housekeeper down the hallway. The short woman nodded and made her way to the door, opening the Lock. "People are so idiotic" she laughed pulling me into the hotel room. "I'm Elliot, what happened with Luke?" I explained the whole confusing story to her. When I was done I looked to her for some response. "You're dumb" she sat on one of the beds. "I know. I'm going to try to fix it tonight but he's a nice guy." I sat on the arm of the couch. "There isn't such thing as a nice guy" Elliot stated at the ceiling. "They all suck" After a while of talking I stood up to go home, i had already missed class. So that wasn't an option anymore. "Hey give me your phone" Elliot stood up and I handed it to her. "Call me if you see or talk to Michael okay? That asshole's gonna here from me again" She put her number in my contacts. I promised her that I would before I left.
