Just The Beginning

September 2009

Demi POV

   It's been two months since Trace and I broke up. I officially finished my 1st solo headline show Yesterday. Today I flew in to Canada where the brothers where having their last show and I am a surprise guest tonight. I didn't tell anyone Trace and I broke up beside Miley. When Layla left to go back to Dallas she told Denies, Denise told Paul and Paul told the brothers and Madi. Nick was upset with me for awhile because I didn't call and tell him, he found out and he knew I called Miley so I can senses there was a bit jealously coming from Nick. 

"Demi" I heard Madi screaming coming towards me. I just walked in backstage I can hear the boys doing a sound check from the stage. 

"Hey baby girl  it's been a long time" I said squatting down to her level giving her a hug, they came out to a few of my shows but they never stayed long. 

"It has, I'm excited to be back in Canada for awhile" Madi said cheerfully she was staying for a week till she leaves for California with Denise & Layla so she can film the new season of Desperate Housewives.

"Let's have the most fun while your here" I said faking a smile for her. I was super tired, but Dad sounded excited when he got the idea to bring me out tonight on stage and he was excited for it. 

"Are you not sad no more about Trace and you breaking up" Madi asked all sweetly 

"No, I'm okay" I said with another fake smile

"Demi" I heard Frankie yell running towards us with Layla behind him

"Hey, bud. How are y'all" I said hugging him and Layla

"Layla was playing hide n go seek with us" Frankie said full of energy 

"I was but now it's break time" Layla said 

"Yeah come on let's go ambush the guys on stage" I said and Madi and Frankie took of running to the stage with Layla and I slowly catching up to them. 

"Hi baby how was your flight" Denise said rushing towards me to give me a hug with Paul right behind her

"Hey D, welcome back to us" Joe said over the mic making us laugh

"Thanks, feels good to be reunited once again" I said with a slight smile 

"Let's all take a break and catch up, we gotta go over the set list once more so we all know when Demi coming on out and the game plan while we are here in Canada filming" Dad said 

"Oh finally I need a snack, welcome D" Kevin said  giving me a quick hug while we all made our way to the green room back stage. 

Nick was avoiding me, it was obvious so when we all went our separate ways after the family business meeting I went and found Nick hiding in the corner listing to his iPod. 

"You can't stay mad at me forever" I said sitting next to him 

"Are you sure about that" He said not looking at me

"Come on Nick, I apologize a thousand times. You gotta understand that I had to call Miley that was her brother and I can't have girl talk with you. Miley needed to understand how her brother was so their family don't hate me" I said 

"Girl talk? Hmm okay so when you pour your heart out writing a song with me isn't that like the same thing" Nick said and to be honest I was speechless I never thought of it like that

"And when I'm dating someone don't you expect me to tell you everything first" Nick said 

"Are you dating someone" I asked him
