Sofia went to school the next day confused. Confused about the last night, confused about what Tony said to Peter. She wanted to know what that was about. Secrets...they...they tried not to keep secrets in the Stark family, but that's hard when they're trying to protect the family. Peter, on the other hand, didn't want Sofia to find the secrets of his own. She was already catching on.
"Hey, can I sit here?" Peter asks Sofia. It's lunch time at Midtown high, and Peter wants to talk. "Sure..." Peter notices that she is upset. "Whats wrong?" He asks. "Nothing...I- I just want to know what you and my dad were REALLY talking about." She looks him dead in the eyes. He inhales sharply, he can't just tell her. It would ruin everything. So he wouldn't. "Well, he..he was just telling me about an internship?" said Peter. "An internship. Really...? Why- why you?" She asked suspiciously. Suddenly Peter's face went blank. He didn't know what to say. "Well...um there was a draw..for like- the state? I think, I'm not sure but uh I put my name in, and now..I have an internship?" He stuttered as he talked. Sofia looked at him with question in his eyes. "Hm. I'll have to ask my dad about that! It's..interesting. You know?" She said. Peter panicked a bit and said he had to go to the bathroom. "I- I'm sorry I really should go..." "Peter- it's the middle of a school day, where are you going?" She asked him. "I'm just going to the bathroom!" He said in a panicked tone. He ran to the bathroom dialing Tony on his phone on the way. "Pick up! Please, pickup Mr. Stark!" He whispered as he locked the bathroom door. "Hello? Kid aren't you in school?" Tony said through the phone. "Mr. Stark this is urgent! So, Sofia...she knows we weren't talking about allergies that night, she's suspecting something." Peter said. "Ok, kid...what did you tell her? Anything?" He asked . "Mr. Stark, you have to play along with my lie for as long as you can. I told her you were doing a draw for the state, for one person to be your intern. For an internship. And..I told her I was picked and that you were talking to me about that." Tony was silent for a moment. "Fine. I'll go along with it. Now get back to her before she comes looking for you!" Peter hung up. He rushed back to Sofia. "Peter? Are you ok? You look upset!" Peter sat down with her, breathing heavy. "Yeah...I'm good." Peter replied, still trying to catch his breath. "Who, who was calling you?" Sofia asked him. "Oh, it was Mr.Stark. Your dad. He was just calling about the internship." Sofia nodded and smiled. Suddenly Peter's phone rang. "My dad again?" Sofia joked. "Haha, no actually, I don't think so." Peter looked down at his cell phone. It was his Aunt May. "Oh! It's actually my Aunt May." He answered the call "Hey May, what's up? I'm about to go into my last period..." he listened to his Aunt talk. "Really? That- that would be awesome! Thank you, May!" He looked over at Sofia with a smile on his face and hung up. "Peter! What is it? Tell me!" She said while playfully nudging him. "Well, we will have to ask your parents first, but my Aunt invited you over for dinner and a movie tonight, would you..would you want to come?" Sofia didn't even hesitate to pick up her phone and call her mom. "Hey mom! Peter's Aunt invited me to go to their apartment for dinner and a movie tonight...can I go?" She listened to Pepper talk, and then she hugged Peter before hanging up the phone. Peter was shocked because they had only just became friends a few days ago. Peter hugged her back. 'She smells so good- like- lemongrass and lavender' thought Peter. They separated and Sofia told him what Pepper had said. "She said I could go! But you have to come over and try to convince my dad to let me go..." Peter just nodded.

~SOFIAS POV~
I- I hugged him? We barely just met but he'd already been to my house. Who cares, I know he liked it. Does he like....me? Not possible, we just met. But- never mind.
Now we have to go see my dad to try and convince him to let me go eat dinner and watch a movie with Peter. "Peter, we should get going if we are going to get my dad to let me go tonight." I told him. "You're right, I hope you can come over, only if you want to, of course." He said that kind of nervously. He's probably just nervous to have me over. I know I'm nervous, I hope his aunt likes me. "Here, let me just call my dad to come pick us up. We can talk to him on the way to the compound and then I'll get some things I need. Sound good?" I asked him. He smiled and nodded. "Or I can call your dad, maybe it would be better coming from me." I mean, what? What does that even mean? Better coming from him? Well, maybe he has a point. Because apparently he's already talked to my dad today. "Yeah, sure. I guess." I said to him.  So he called my dad. "Hi Mr. Stark, it's me again. My Aunt May offered to host Sofia and I for dinner at my apartment tonight, and for a movie. Is it ok if Sofia comes?" He waited for a response. "Really!? Thank you Mr. Stark, thank you." He hung up and looked at me. He smiled, that adorable smile of his. "You are coming over!" I laughed and took his hand- on accident. "Oh- oh my god I'm sorry Peter..I didn't mean-" he looked me right in the eyes, "it's okay, don't worry about it. It was just reflexes, right?" I didn't have any words, but my face said it all. I was blushing. Damn it, I was blushing!
