~PETERS POV~
It's the middle of the night, and I'm trying to sleep. Then, out of NOWHERE, Sofia rams into my door...silence...then she opens it groggily and runs into my room. "Ow." She says, leaping onto my bed. "Jesus CHRIST lady, what is your problem." Then she starts talking to fast, it just sound like gibberish. "Ok, ok! Sof, slow down! I can't understand a word you just said." I say, confused and tired. I'm too tired to be doing this right now.
She slows down a little bit, but not enough. "Stop, stop, stop!" I say, putting my hands up in front of me. She glared at me, like she's a bubble, about to burst with words. "Oh. My. GOD. Peter." She says, an annoyed tone in her voice.
"BUCKYJUSTBASICALLYTOLDMETHATHIMANDSTEVEAREDATING!" She says, too fast for my brain. I silence her. "Slower." I say. She lets out a mighty groan and says, "Son of a bitch Peter! Stucky exists!" She says. "Language," Steve says, popping in from who knows where. "Also, who in the freaking world told you that?" He asks, bewildered. My mouth hangs open, it seems as though my jaw is falling to the floor. "Y- you- wait-?" I say, trying to comprehend this.
~THE NEXT DAY~
It's time. I'm going to school, poster in Mr. Starks car, and I'm going to ask her to the dance today. I'm so nervous, my hands are sweating and my face is going red. Mr. Stark is the only one in the car with me. "It's ok kid. She will say yes, don't worry about it." He says to me.
She is going to say no. The only reason she'd say yes is because she feels pity for you, she feels bad for you, she doesn't even want to be your friend. She was forced to.
The voices. I cringe. "Are you okay, Parker?" Mr. Stark asks, putting a hand on my shoulder. "I'm fine." I say, opening the car door and getting out. "Peter, why won't you tell any one of us who you are asking to the dance?" He asks, a slight smile on his face. I just shrug, and walk into class.
~FIRST PERIOD~
I walk in, after placing my backpack and poster in my locker. 1184 is your locker combination, don't forget or you will be locked out forever and you will never be able to ask-
I direct my attention at Mrs. Williams, not the voices. "What's wrong Parker, are you depressed?" Flash asks, mockingly. I roll my eyes and begin writing in my notebook. Then, she walks in. The girl I'm asking out. "Hey." She says, sitting down. "Hi." I reply. "What did you do to your hand-" she asks, reaching for my arm. I yank it away before she gets any closer. "I- I um...I drew...on...myself?" I reply, as confused as she is. She suspects it's not the truth, but she shrugs it off, and so do I.
~LUNCH~
~SOFIAS POV~
"Hey." I say, sitting down next to Ned and Mj. "Have you guys seen Peter?" I ask. They shake their heads no. I shrug and place my tray on the table. Not even a second later, Peter struts up to the lunch table. "Hey Pete." I say. He looks up and smiles. "Hi!" He says. *ring ring* my phone. "One second." I say, getting up to take the call. "Hey Steve, what's up?" I ask into the phone. "You never answered my question." He says, "...What are you talking about?" I ask, knowing what he's talking about. "Don't play dumb! Who told you about Bucky and I?" He asks, more stern now. "Ok, so. Funny story actually, Bucky told me, but he didn't tell me." I say. Silence. "What?" He asks after a minute.
After I explain to him what happened, how Bucky shushed me when I tried to ask. But he like, shushed me in a knowingly way. I don't know how else to put it I guess. "Fine. We are...dating, if you will." He says, and I know he's blushing. "Are you guys out to the fam?" I ask. "The...fam? Oh- you mean everyone else. No." He says, I let out a breath. Will they be accepting? How will they react? I hang up. "Sorry about that." I say. I notice Peter wearing a bigger hoodie than usual, and, he never even wears hoodies. "What's with the hoodie? Aren't you hot?" I ask. It's nearly summer, and it's currently 70 degrees outside. Even with the schools air conditioning on, it's hot in here. "No." He says sharply, pulling the sleeves even farther over his arms. He's never done that. I'm really suspicious of him.
~AFTER SCHOOL~
~PETERS POV~
I pull out my phone as soon as I leave the building. "Hey Mr. Stark, it's me, Peter. I just wanted to call and let you know I'm doing something after school so I don't need a ride, thanks, bye." I say to the answering machine.
MESSAGES
Me: hey, are you still meeting me at the spot?
???: of course! Couldn't miss it :)
Me: great. I'm on my way right now. See you soon!
???: you got it! And, what's the surprise anyway? You know I'm impatient, Peter.
Me: if I told you it wouldn't be a surprise now, would it?
???: classic. See you soon dumbass
That's her way of saying....bye? I guess! Before you wonder who 'her' is, it's who I'm asking to homecoming. I'm meeting her at a spot on a hill, there is a tree and a swing. That's where I'll ask her.
I text: I'm here: to her, and I set up and practice what I'm going to say.
"Will you go to homecoming with you?" Wait...what? No. "Will I go to home housing with I-" what's going on. Your going to make a fool out of yourself you idiot
Shut up.

Hey hands immediately go to her mouth. "Oh my god...Peter...I- YES!" She screams, jumping up and hugging me. Oh my god.,,oh my god! I did it!
