*Ashton's POV*
I walked into the library for my second tutoring session. I scanned the room, looking for Rowan. She wasn't in her usual spot. Her stuff wasn't there either. Maybe she's late. No, Rowan is always prompt. Maybe she decided to sit somewhere else. I groaned softly. The library was huge, and I didn't feel like spending time looking for her.I turned off my phone and scouted for her. She's probably hiding from me. How adorable. She thinks she's so tough and firm when in reality she's as strong as a newborn kitten. I giggled to myself thinking about her trying to be mad last night.
After searching for a good while, I found her at a small table towards the back of the room, reading a book. Looked like The Hobbit. I walked over to the table quickly, not wanting to loose any more time. I threw my stuff on the table and took a seat.
"Hi" I said, trying to sound sweet."Afternoon" She said, not looking up from her book. Feeling discouraged, I tried to say something. What was I supposed to say? "Uh whatcha reading there?" I asked, even though it was obvious. Without saying a word, she lifted the book so I could see the front cover. "Oh cool" I said.
I looked at what she was wearing. Dark blue jeans, a red and black striped shirt with cuffed sleeves, and white converse. Her hair was pulled back in a side braid, showing off some studs. She was just too cute.
"So I have to be home by six so can we maybe get started?" I asked politely. "Yeah sure" She said, putting her book away. She leaned down to get materials out of her backpack. I propped my feet up on the table and sat back. Might as well make myself comfy. Rowan gasped when she looked back up.
"Irwin! Get your feet of the table! Who do you think you are?!" She snapped adorably. Or at least, I thought it was adorable. I moved my feet and smirked at her. Gotta keep the bad boy reputation going. She put some books on the table and opened to a marked page. "Okay lets review what we went over yesterday" She said. And now for the boring part.
Just like yesterday, we went over things I failed. I was embarrassed. Then, we studied some for the test. She gave me the longest lecture ever on good study habits. I couldn't care less, but I acted like I was engaged. You have to give fuel to the fire if you know what I mean.
*Rowan's POV*
I walked into the library tutoring. I came early so I could find a new place to sit, so Ashton would have to spend some of our time together looking for me. Hehe. I just wanted to avoid him overall, but that wasn't allowed, sadly. I saw him walk in, and quickly took out a book to hide my face. He looked confused. Good. That peanut sized brain of his would spend plenty of time looking for me.He should be glad he's missing tutoring time. He can add it onto his bad boy rep or whatever they call it. He thinks hes so firm and tough, but in reality, he's about as strong as a newborn kitten, and as smart as a, well, I don't think he has any intelligence.
After searching for a good while, he found me. Great.
"Hi" he said, trying to sound sweet. No way, tootsie. I ain't falling for it again. "Afternoon" I said, not looking up from my book. "Uh whatcha reading there?" he asked, even though it was obvious. Without saying a word, I lifted the book so he could see the front cover. Can he not read? "Oh cool" he said quietly.
I looked at what he was wearing. Black jeans with holes in the knees, a Fall Out Boy t-shirt with a red flannel, and a white bandana. He had on his big clunky boots again. What was he trying to be?Some emo freak?
"So I have to be home by six so can we maybe get started?" he asked politely. "Yeah sure" I said, putting my book away. I leaned down to get materials out of my backpack. When I looked up, he had his feet on the table like some rock star. Ew I hate rock music. Too dark and loud.
"Irwin! Get your feet of the table! Who do you think you are?!" I snapped angily. Can this please be over? I tried to go over things as quickly as possible, and I even made him do some quiet work independently. Hey, it works.
