The Loverboy

Author's Take (Chapters 1-5)

Okay so since I am still emotionally attached to this book I'm going to do an authors take on every five chapters so this is basically what went through my mind as I was writing-

Okay so I remember I had just read a bunch of fanfic and I decided it was time for me to make a fanfic of my own so the first part was brainstorming for an idea.

I had my best friend texting in the mornings before school trying to think of ideas and I thought of maybe like a bullied by 5sos story, but then I decided to go more for good girl and bad boy fall in love.

I chose Ashton to be the bad boy because he is my favorite and I chose Rowan because Rowan just happens to be my favorite name if I could change my name that is what I would choose but I do really like being a Liv.

To choose the name for the story, I really just thought of the little mix song Mr. Loverboy and idk I was just kind of like that sounds fun so I went with that.

I thought it would be cute to start the story with both of their points of view as if they were writing it in their diary or in ashtons case just on a piece of paper. I thought it would help describe the characters better.

I was so excited reading over the first five chapters because I liked how I was easing into things but at the same time firmly establishing the relationship between the two.

I chose for Ashton to beat up Tyler so that it would go ahead and cause some drama, enabling Rowan to go fuss at him and then they get stuck together and start to blossom as a couple!

I liked how they were trying to avoid each other during tutoring. That was funny. XD
