*Rowan's POV*
I woke up to the sunlight blaring through the blinds. I slowly opened my eyes and rubbed my ankle. Gosh it hurt like all crap. Thanks, Ashton. I picked up my phone and scrolled through my home feed on Pinterest before I heard a small knock on the door. "Who is it?" I asked, rubbing my eyes. "It's Calum" the person responded."Come in"

Calum pranced in the room, shirtless and wearing baggy sweat pants. "Good morning!" He said happily. I smiled faintly. "You took a nasty fall last night! How's your ankle?" He asked. "It would've been fine if your friend hadn't tripped me" I complained. "He didn't mean to, y'know" Calum stated.

"I'm pretty sure he intentionally tripped me." I reminded him. "Well, yes, but he didn't mean to hurt you so badly. He told us so."

"What makes him telling you make it true?" I asked, sitting up in my bed. "He's a really good friend of ours. We trust him." "You shouldn't" "Well he's been through some hard times, he just doesn't do a good job of handling it."

I sighed and curled up under the blanket. "Come downstairs and get yourself some breakfast, dear" Calum offered, giving me his hand. "Is Ashton down there?" "Rowan. You can't do this all summer. You gotta learn how to live with him. Besides, there's bacon." "Fine" "Excellent!" Calum said, taking the blankets and carrying me downstairs.

"Rowan! Your'e awake! You didn't die!" Michael yelled coming over to me and taking me from Calum's arms and hugging me. "Come sit! How many pieces of bacon do you want?" Luke said to me, gesturing towards the frying pan. "Uhh start me off with four?" I said smiling.

Ashton didn't look up from his phone. I think he knew I wanted nothing to do with him. I looked down at his legs from under the table, to see his bruised shin. Part of me felt bad. 'No, Rowan. He got what he deserved.' I thought to myself.

I was interrupted from my thoughts when Luke brought me a plate of bacon and scrambled eggs. He sat down next to me. "Thanks Lukey" I said smiling. "Mf- yeah" Luke said with a mouth full off eggs. All four boys talked to each other about what the plans for the week were. Ashton didn't dare make eye contact.

*Ashton’s POV*

“Rowan!” Michael exclaimed. I saw her coming down, with Calum carrying her in his arms. Lucky. She looked so adorable with her messy hair and black leggings and one of Luke’s t-shirts. I looked down at my phone as she came to sit at the table. I knew that she surly wouldn’t want to make any interaction with me. I saw her look down at my shin. I hope her hitting me satisfied her, because it sure hurt, and still does.

After eating breakfast, Luke, Rowan, and Michael ran up the stairs to get ready to go out to the beach today. The weather was really nice. Calum went to go up the stairs, when he turned around and came over to me.

“Are you alright, mate?” He asked. “Yeah I’m fine” I lied. “No you’re not. You can tell me, dude.” He said. “Rowan.” I simply said. “I know, I know. We’re trying to convince her that you didn’t mean to mess up her ankle, but she doesn’t want to listen. She’s set that you meant to do it. We’re trying though. Don’t worry about it. It’ll all turn out” He said, patting my back. “Come get ready to hit the beach” He said. I nodded and followed him up
