Jealousy

I never dreamed that Ashton would beat up someone just for  flirting with me. Sure, you might think that it's sweet and romantic, and it is, but I thought he changed. It was like wanted to be the bad boy again. Either way, it was time for him to learn a lesson and that was exactly what was going to happen!

I stood at my locker, just waiting for Brian to show up. I was going to look him strait in the eye and flirt, giving him the que to flirt away. Ashton wanted to walk with me to class, so curely he would see Brian with his hands all over me. I put my books away before digging in one of my mini boxes for some lip gloss. Just on que, Brian showed up and slammed my locker door shut. However, he didn't have a seductive grin slapped on his face like normal. Instea, it was a frightful scowl. Before I knew what was happening, he smacked all of my books out of my hands. I watched as they all tumbled to the ground, along with my purse, and some of the contents fell out.

"What was that for?" I yelled at him. "You know exaclty what that was for, gorgeous." He snarled. I looked at him with a puzzled expression. "You wanna tell me more about how you tattled on me to your boyfriend and had him beat  me up?" He snapped. This my chance to ease him with some fake flirting. "Oh come on Brian why would I do a thing like that? You're so hot, y'know." I smirked. "Oh yeah sure." He said with an eye roll.

"So you don't think you're good looking?" I questioned. "Honey, every girl in this school thinks I'm good looking, and I don't have a single doubt about it. But how come the one girl who has my eye gets some loser boyfriend to beat me up?" He said, his smirk beginning to appear. "Well maybe I could make it up to you some time..." I replied, trailing two fingers up his chest. He grabbed my wrists and pushed them down. I couldn't fight his grip, but that wasn't what I was trying to do.

"Well maybe we can make that happen" He growled, pinning me up against the locker. I saw a few girls staring, but I ignored them. I could make them jealous too while I was at it. Now of course, I wasn't gonna give him crap but it was fun to wind him up. "You're gonna meet me in the backseat of my car, you understand?" He said in a raspy voice. "She won't be doing anything of the sort" I heard Ashton's voice say.

He put his hand on Brian's shoulder and stared him down. "Here to beat me up again, blondie?" Brian snorted. "I'm here to walk my girlfriend to  class." Ashton answered quickly. He grabbed my hand and pulled me away from Brain. I waved goodbye and winked to him. I earned a quick glare from Ashton.

"What in the world was that all about?" Ashton asked, gripping my hand tightly. "Nothing babe, it was nothing." I responded. "Well it must have been something because Lindsay ran and got me to tell me that you had your hands all over him!" He said. "Ashton-" "Are you trying to make me jealous or something? Because if you are I have no idea why and in case you were wondering, no. I am not the slightest bit jealous. Are you interested in Brian now? Am I old news to you?" Ashton lectured.

"Ashton no I love you and only you." I said, before slamming him against the wall and kissing him. "Does this make it up to you?" I asked. "Always" He said with a giggle.

*Ashton's POV*

The kiss was short, but sweet. It tasted like her cherry lip gloss, which I loved. I didn't care if people saw us kissing in the hall. I was proud of it. "Does this make it up to you?" She asked. "Always" I said back. No, I didn't mean it. I knew exactly what she was up to. She was trying to make me jealous. I couldn't quite wrap my mind around why, but I knew for sure she was trying to tell me something.

Either way, it upset me. Two can play that way. I walked her to her art class, and then I made my way to my study hall. I sat down at a table with Luke, Kirstie and Lindsay. I took a seat next to Calum and got out my math homework I never finished. I looked at all the little hearts and other doodles Rowan drew on the margins and smiled to myself. Gosh, she was so adorable. I wished I could figure out what she was trying to tell me. Is it something I did?

"What's up" Luke said, making me look up. "Hey" I said. "Hey" Kirstie said. Lindsay was quiet. She was always like that. She just had a quiet personality, except for when she was around Luke. She tried to talk to him every chance she had. The girl Luke asked out came and sat down at the table next to Luke. Who invited her to sit at our table?

There was somethig about her that I just did not like. Maybe it was her voice, or maybe just the fact that she was some giggly, girly cheerleader. There wasn't anything wrong with those kinds of girls, but I didn't fancy them. Something was just telling me that she wasn't right for Luke. After saying my hellos and a few short things, I went back to my math homework, before I interrupted shortly after.

Two girls came up behind me. "Hey ladies" I said politely. "Are you the guy who beat up Brian yesterday?" One of them asked. "I'm sorry?" I answered. "Word is getting around that you punched him good! Some people saw it!" The other said. I looked at Lindsay, figuring that she was the one who probably spread the word. She shook her head and looked back at Luke, who was chatting with Paige.

"You are amazing! Nobody else had the courage to do that! You're my hero!" The first one giggled. "Do you have a girlfriend?" The  other girl blurted. "Yes, thank you, but I'm afraid I'm taken." I replied. They giggled and walked away. "That was weird" Luke commented. "Yeah" I agreed. "Did you seriously beat up Brian?" Paige asked in her thick country accent. I nodded. "What did Rowan have to say about that?" Luke laughed. "She didn't like it, but she's chill." I told them. They nodded and went back to their work.

"Irwin." Kirstie whispered. I looked over at her. "Rowan's got you thinking, doesn't she?" She asked. "How do you know that?" I said to her. "I can tell. What's up." She laughed quietly. "She's trying to make me jealous. I feel like she's trying to tell me something." I confessed. She nodded thoughtfully. "Hey Kirstie?" I whipsered. "Yeah?" "I need your help with something."
