Notes Princess Charlotte is the second child of King George III and Queen Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz. She is so far the second in the line of succession to the British throne, after her brother, The Prince Regent. Charlotte is The Duchess of Kent and Strathearn ever since her marriage to her husband, The Duke of Kent and Strathearn, Benedict Bridgerton. She is fluent in German, French, Italian, and Latin, but she speaks only English at home. Princess Amelia, her youngest sister, died of Tuberculosis at the age of 15. She is skilled in the pianoforte, and enjoys to sketch. Princess Caroline of Brunswick, Princess of Wales, is her cousin and her sister-in-law, since she is married to her brother The Prince Regent. And Princess Caroline's mother, Princess Augusta, Duchess of Brunswick, was the sister of King George III.
