Chapter 47

Third person's POV

It has been five months since Sunghoon was brought out into this world and now he's already 4 months old.

It's also been 5 months since the choosing had started. And the final decision has been made.

The next ruler has been chosen.

"My Lords M'ladies, the Princesses are here." A butler said informing the royals that were inside the big spacious room where announcements such as this is made and declared.

"Let them in." Lord Itsuki said and so the butler nodded and opened the door where the Princesses had entered and stood in front of their senior royals and their lovers who was behind.

"As you girls have heard, the final decision has been made." King Myoui started.

"The next ruler has been chosen already, it was my decision on who I picked. No favoritism or such. I based it all on your performance, skills, intelligence, determination and great leadership that you've been showing the last five months. Again it is my decision and I hope everyone accepts that." Lord Itsuki said looking at the Princesses who nodded their heads understanding what he had meant.

"I picked this Princess, because since the start she was showing so much determination and courage. She showed me the kind of ruler that the kingdom really needs. A ruler full of determination, courage, enthusiasm, kindness, intelligence and has spoken like how a true ruler should be." He started while looking at his granddaughters who was listening carefully, happy with what the results would be not caring if they get chosen or not because they know that they all did their best and that the Princess who gets chosen has did her very best to prove that she can do it.

"She proved so many things the last five months. She proved to those people who didn't believe her that she could do it. She showed the people in the kingdom how a true ruler is, and how a ruler should be ruling its people. Ruling a whole big kingdom is a very big and hard duty. But this Princess showed how she can do perfectly in ruling the kingdom with how she guided the royal maids and guards here all over the castle. She showed them kindness and nothing else but love and care. She showed that a true queen should understand and know what the people in her kingdom needs and wants. She showed very excellent skills in everything that she does. And her determination is what pushed me to choose her to be the next ruler after King Myoui Akira steps down from his throne. And so that's why I chose..." He said as everyone in the room waited for him to reveal who he has chosen. They were all relaxed but one isn't. Haruki was praying to all the gods that his 'daughter' gets chosen. But as if the world turned its back on him, his whole world shuttered when he heard who Lord Itsuki has picked.

"Princess Sharon." He said.

"Princess Sharon was chosen by me not by favoritism but by the things that I have said. Princess Sharon will soon rule the kingdom when King Myoui Akira steps down from his throne. Congratulations Princess Sharon." Lord Itsuki finished his speech by giving his granddaughters a warm smile.

"You did it!"

"Congratulations Sharon, I'm rooting for you."

"I told you, trust is all that you need. I'm proud of you Sharon unnie~"

"I'm happy and proud of you Sharon, congratulations and do well!"

Her cousins that were just beside her congratulated her as they all give her a hug smiling at her happily—they aren't sad or anything that they didn't get chosen. They know that Princess Sharon did her best that's why she got chosen. They all did their best but Princess Sharon was different from them, she showed so much of her that the people in the kingdom trusted her if ever she would rule the whole Kingdom, and now that she is she's thankful to those people who believed in her. And that's her family and friends. Especially her wife, Son Chaeyoung.
