Chapter 44

Third person's POV

2 more months till Princess Sharon gives birth to their first child. But a month away till the choosing for the next ruler starts. Many things are to be done secretly by the people on the kingdom and the senior royals. They will do things secretly away from the knowledge of the Princess's or anyone else, only Lord Itsuki, King Myoui and his brothers know about what is to be done for the choosing.

But the danger is now also roaming around the kingdom among the royals. The danger himself is now back to destroy the happy life that the Princess wants. He came back to destroy those who doesn't deserve to be the ruler.

"Haruki, you're back." Lord Itsuki said greeting his only nephew that had just came back from Brazil after 9 months—he came back to make sure that his daughter would be chosen as the next ruler, but he didn't came back to support he just came back to see if she would be chosen because if she was he would use her and the power that she will have to rule over the kingdom and take out all of the royals that lives among the kingdom.

"Of course uncle, I need to be here for the choosing don't I?" He said giving his uncle a smile before turning to his cousins.

"Akira, Haruto, Hiro, Hikaru, nice to finally see you again." He said giving them a smile which they returned.

"Your daughter is in the Princess's castle with her cousins." Hiro said while Haruki gave him a smile and nodded.

"I'll just excuse myself and go see my daughter uncle Itsuki." He said excusing himself as Lord Itsuki nodded and let him go.

"That no good nephew of yours is back again father." Hikaru said facing his father who nodded looking at Haruki's disappearing silhouette.

"Just he makes sure that he won't do anything that can harm my daughter and the other Princesses." Akira plainly said remembering what the man who just left had done years ago that almost costed his daughters life.

"Miyeon my daughter!" Haruki exclaimed as he saw his daughter.

"Dad!" She muttered and ran away from her cousins to her father.

"You're back." Miyeon said smiling at her father who smiled at her cousins at the back before dragging his daughter away.

"You make sure you get chosen to be the next ruler Cho Miyeon, don't you dare disappoint me." He seriously told his daughter who's smile faded and nodded her head.

"Don't let those so called cousins of yours take the throne, don't let a Myoui take that again you got me? I need you to be in that throne." He said as his daughter looked up at him with sadness in her eyes hearing what her father had told her—he always saw her as a toy he can use to rule the kingdom, that's why he took her to New York with his family and got her trained and prepared to be the next ruler of the Kingdom, he wanted her to have the throne so he could use her to take the royals out of the kingdom and rule all over Japan—he never saw her as daughter for he saw her as a toy, a puppet that he controls.

"Won't you at least tell me that I'll do great and that I can do it? I mean can't tell me that you'll support me through out the choosing? Won't you at least give me support? Like how a father should be?" Princess Miyeon questioned her father who looked at her like what she said was some kind of joke that he couldn't stop himself from laughing.

"What are you talking about? What 'like how a father' should be are you saying? You're not even my real daughter. Have you forgot that I only took you from that orphanage? I took you because I needed a child, a child I could raise to be chosen as the ruler that I can use to take out all the royals and take over Japan, have you forgot that? So what 'like how a father' should are you delusioning about?" He stated giving Miyeon a smile seeing what she said as a joke—'I forgot, I'm just an orphan. He's right what am I delusioning about? He isn't my father.'—It's true, Miyeon is an orphan before. Haruki took her from the orphanage because he and his wife couldn't have a child because his wife couldn't bare one. So when they were in New York he adopted Miyeon and told everyone in the kingdom that she is their daughter, minus the part that she's adopted. That's why Miyeon got hurt when she and Princess Sharon fought when she kissed Chaeyoung, because she knows that Princess Sharon was right. Haruki never showed her love or care, only his wife had seen her as her real daughter, but sadly Haruki's wife died when Miyeon was 16 so while living in New York with Haruki's other family she had a hard time because the mother she treated as her real one was gone, she wasn't with her so she felt sad that she doesn't have anyone with her anymore. She was desperate for love? Yes that's true. She was desperate for attention? That's true. She was desperate for someone to love her? That's true. She never felt love after Hina, Haruki's wife had died. Hina was the only one who showed her love and care. She was the only who supported her in what she truly wants, and that's not to rule the kingdom, it's to become a singer, that's what she truly wants but since Haruki adopted her to be chosen to rule the kingdom she has no choice but to obey him because without Hina she can't do anything against what Haruki wants.
