Chapter Thirty-four
I felt Doyoung's hand latched around my hand as he gave me a shake of head, "Just let him be, Jeongwoo," I threw a glance at Haruto's reflex fading away. I sighed and nodded my head slowly.
The program went on and my mood were brighten up a bit having a chance to bond with my employees. I'm not a cold boss, maybe I'm just so busy to have this chance to make them know me.
Wilson Company are filled of kind employees, they were all friendly and nice towards my employees and I'm glad they are building relationship to work hand-in-hand for the future project of both companies.
Jihoon has been reminding me about going back to Korea next week. I wanted to ask the full details but he refused to. I am always optimistic it's just a mere deal or situation at home.
But I couldn't think of anything worse than that. My mom has been speaking weirdly after I came here, she even told me I should just stay here when she used to tell me she wants me home. I'm afraid she's sick... and she's trying to hide that away from me.
"Hey, you're spacing out," Doyoung snapped on me as he sat down putting down a black tray. I smiled at him and shook my head. "I'm just thinking about home," I told him flashing a pursed smile.
"Doyoung, what if my mom is... sick?" I asked him, he furrowed his brows, "Why you say so?" he asked concerned. "She's been hinting on me," I told him as I heaved a deep sigh. "I hope it's just hints but not the truth," he said tapping my shoulder. "There's no deeper reason why Jihoon wants you home next week, Jeongwoo. It's just some business related problems. Let's hope."
Doyoung left for a rescue near the island. He just can't sit all day doing nothing related to his profession. He's a committed man.
A sight of Haruto hugging Junghwan didn't occur in me but it's what I'm seeing right now. I arched my brows. Why there's a need to hug?
Haruto were smiling when he detached from the hug but as soon as he realized I'm watching his expression went emotionless again. "Go ahead, Junghwan. I'll go after." he told Junghwan as the latter just nodded his head and threw me a smile. I refused to smile back. I'm not a hypocrite.
"What was that?" I asked him as he just raised me a brow. "What that?" he asked back. I enhaled, "that hug obviously?" I said pissed off.
"You were also letting another guy touch you." he said straightforwardly.
"Wow?" I said in disbelief, my lips parted as I looked at him, "You're saying that to me, Haruto? You're even hugging your past lover? I don't think there's nothing meaningful behind that because the last time I checked you are desperate to settle things with him... so I guess it's going according to your plans,"
He averted his gaze away, not denying any of my words, "I'm right. You're enyoing this, you're enyoing your time with Junghwan."
"You're trying to convince yourself that's the deal when in fact you are using that to hide your intentions too."
I stared at him. "my intentions?" I asked, clueless. "Don't lie to me, Jeongwoo. I know Doyoung confessed to you last night. Are you reconsidering him again? Huh? That's why you're pushing me through the wall now and throwing me all any sorts of accusations to get rid of me?"
"I can't believe you're talking to me that way, Haruto." my voice cracked as I can feel a lump on my throat. "It's you... who's using any sorts of excuse to get rid of me, Haruto. Look at you now using Doyoung. You're so cruel." I said.
