Chapter 13: The Hail Mary

"So we're going to try to find Leigha and Erin in one of the biggest cities in the world?" Michael pointed out as we were getting ready to leave.

"Good point, Hannah would you mind getting Winry for me?" I asked. Hannah simply nodded and walked away. A few minutes later she came back in with a tired looking Winry at her side. 

"Artemis, do you want to explain to me why you woke me up at three in the morning?" Winry asked, she wasn't a morning person, no matter what time she woke up.

"Leigha is in trouble," I replied.

"Of course she is and you need to me to find her, you know remind me to kill her one of these days" Winry replied. "Let's just get this over with. Michael you get the picture?" 

"Crystal clear thanks Winry," he replied and she smiled before walking off probably back to bed. "Let's get going Artemis." The next thing I know we're in a forest.

"Where are we?" I asked.

"Don't know this is where Winry said to go," he replied.

"My turn," I said, "I found her, but she's not injured. Erin is."

"Great, this is going to be harder than I thought," Michael said.

"Let's find her and leave, there's about ten Watchers around," I replied. With me still being a little weak Carl had to lead me while I was trying to lead everyone else. We eventually got close enough to hear her.

"They'll be here soon, I promise. I contacted Artemis, she'll be here. I just know it, she doesn't let people down, you know that," Leigha said.

"Leave... please just... leave me," Erin said.

"No, I won't leave you," she replied.

"And you won't have to," I said.

"Artemis!" Leigha yelled as she jumped up and hugged me.

"Michael to the infirmary, like yesterday" I said.

"Got it," he replied. We got there in two seconds flat, as expected. Dr. Wolfen was waiting there, without hesitation Erin and took him over to a cot. He examined him for a minute. Winry was also in the room, she must have not gone back to sleep.

"So?" I asked.

"There's nothing I can do, he's lost too much blood and the cut is too deep," he replied. "This is something that-"

"Get Ashley, now," I ordered interrupting him.

"But Seer..." Carl began.

"I said now," I replied. A few minutes later Carl came back in with Ashley at his side.

"You need me Artemis?" she asked she seemed out of breath, they must have been running back here.

"I need you to come heal Erin," I replied.

"Artemis you said it yourself that she can't heal on her own," Michael said.

"That's why I'm going to help her," I replied. The room grew very tense, everyone knew how tired I was.

"I've made up my mind and we don't have much of a choice," I replied, "Ashley you're going to heal her. Remember what I told you, focus."

"Got it," she replied as we both walked over to him.

"Let's do this," I replied. Then I saw Ashley's aura glow brighter. After a minute I said, "Ashley are you almost done?"

"Almost, are you okay?" she asked.

"Fine, just hurry," I replied.

"I have a question is the blood going back into the wound normal?" she asked sounding worried
