Chapter 16: Neil

"Who is it?" I asked impatient to get the answer.

"Call our team together," Anna demanded, I didn't know why she needed them all here, I could handle whatever information she gave me.

"Team?" Brandon asked.

"Group. Me, Anna, Nova, Michael, Winry, Leigha, Wade, Josh, Charlie. Most people have a others with different abilities that they travel with, talk with. We call them teams or groups," I explained, "We have the largest team in our history. Also the most powerful."

"Cool," he replied.

I entered my code for the intercom and said, "Team One, please come to see me. Team One."

It only took a few minutes for everyone to get to my office. "Okay why did you call us here? I was in the middle of showing a newbie how to fight," Leigha said.

"You mean you were in the middle of teaching him how to lose to a girl properly?" I asked.

"Actually yes, but he told me he was beat by you while you were in Maine," she replied.

"Ahhh, so it was him again," I replied.

"We called you here because I know who the traitor is," Anna said calling our attention back to what we were actually supposed to be talking about.

"Really? You know who killed Misaki? That was fast Anna," Josh commented, "I appreciate speed."

"Josh, shut up," Winry replied.

"Okay," he replied, he did anything Winry said.

"Anyway it was Neil, the normal," Anna said. My heart dropped into my stomach. Anna had to be lying.

"Neil? No that's impossible," I said. My brother? He wouldn't.

"It is, Winry a little help," she replied. Winry nodded. Then it seemed like we were in the training area. By combining Anna's power to see the past and Winry's power to get into people's head, we could see anything Anna saw.

"I'm not seeing anything," I said.

"Wait for it," she replied. Then I saw Nick... I mean Neil walk into the training area. He entered a code into a keypad and the androids that I fought appeared. He grabbed several knives out of a bag and gave them to the androids.

"No, he wouldn't do that. He couldn't. He wouldn't hurt anyone," I said.

"Artemis we do not know him or what he is capable of; that is not your brother," Michael stated. The scene continued and I watched myself enter. I wanted to scream out and to tell myself to choose another training simulation, but I knew it wouldn't do anything. Then I saw myself get stabbed, all of a sudden I felt the pain again and I almost fell on the ground. I saw Neil running out yelling my name, he was trying to stay calm but it wasn't working. Wait. He was trying to save me, if he planted the knife then why?

"I want to see Misaki," I said. Winry and Anna knew exactly what I was meaning. The scene changed. We were in Misaki's room.

"Hey Neil! Can you check out this cut? I got it during fight class today and it really hurts," Misaki said. She was so full of life, I felt so bad for her. I wanted to yell out, to protect her.

Neil turned around.

"Neil why do you have a knife?" she asked. "Neil... Hello?"

"What? Uh the knife uh..." he said, but then he rushed forward and stabbed her. She screamed for help but no one came. Over and over and over again he stabbed her.

"I don't want to see anymore," I said as calmly as I could but even I could tell my voice was wavering. The scene faded and we were back in my office.
