I just woke up and I realized I had completely exhausted my ability, I could barely see auras which was really bad. I went through the places I could be. A hospital or the training camp was at the top of the list. Just as I had narrowed it down to those two I saw Ashley's unique aura so I knew I was in the hospital.

"Am I in a hospital?" I asked knowing that generally anyone could make that guess from the constant rhythmic beeping of the machines and the feeling of tubes near my nose.

"Artemis, you're awake!" Bailey yelled, I didn't realize she was here but if both Ashley and Bailey were here, Mason was probably too.

"Artemis?" Mason asked. There it is.

"You're awake?" Brandon asked. I didn't really expect him to be here, but it was nice knowing that he was.

"Hey guys," I greeted and then remembering that Ashley hadn't said anything yet a normal blind person wouldn't know she was here. "Is Ashley here?"

"I'm here Artemis," she replied.

"Do you remember what happened?" Brandon asked. I heard sounds of the others hitting him. "She seems okay enough to answer."

"Stacy went completely nuts and got three guys from the football team to beat me to a pulp after she already poured water and a smoothie on me and that was after she hid my dog and broke my walking stick that day," I replied. I wondered how long it had been since then.

"That was three days ago," Bailey said a little sadly. Three days? It took me three days to get to this point and I was still this weak? I didn't realize how bad it really was.

"Do you know why she attacked you?" Ashley asked.

"She blamed me for Brandon breaking up with her and him not being to play football on Friday," I answered.

"So what you're saying is it's all my fault that you ended up here like this," Brandon said, I could hear the anger in his voice. I didn't really think that Stacy would explain why she had me beaten up, but I also didn't think it took a genius to figure out why, she was rather unstable and that was saying something coming from me.

"Brandon I don't blame you for any of this, if I blame anyone it's me. I made her feel insecure and I made her like she had no other choice; it's my fault that I was beaten up and threatened," I replied.

"It's not your fault!" the four of them yelled in unison and it made me smile.

"Yes it is and I don't want to hear anyone else say it was their fault ever again," I replied, "Anyway tell me how bad am I?" I could make a few guess based on the pain, but I knew I probably was given some pain medicine, so it wouldn't be accurate.

"Your left wrist and right ankle are sprained, you have a black eye, a busted up lip, and three bruised ribs. You have a couple of minor cuts and bruises all over," Mason replied.

"You also have two broken ribs," Ashley added.

"Oh, that bad," I replied.

"Artemis, I've been wondering do your eyes ever randomly go back to their original color?" Bailey asked.

"You saw my eyes?" I asked nervously as my blood ran cold. If they mentioned this to anyone I was dead in the ground.

"Yeah, when we saw them earlier, back at your house, they were pale blue, but when we found you they were the blue we saw in the pictures, but now their pale blue again," Ashley replied, this didn't help anything.

"Have you told my parents about this?" I asked hesitantly.

"No, we haven't," Mason said and finally I could take a full breath.
