None of our protectors seemed particularly happy, but I couldn't blame them. We did just disappear on them, but once they heard what I found they couldn't blame us or be mad for much longer. "Start explaining," Tara stated calmly, her calmness made it just that more intimidating.
"Bruce, why are you and Reader with them?" Carl asked before any of us could answer.
"She called us, she needs Reader's help and you need to hear Seer out," he replied.
"With what?" Ryan asked.
"You'll find out in a few minutes, hopefully you're in the right once I do this," I replied as I walked away. I went to the main computer for the speaker system and quickly hacked it with the help of Josh. "Everyone please head to the amphitheater. And yes that means everyone, including you Chief."
"Seer! What are you doing?!" Carl shouted, emergency meetings weren't something that happened, ever. Actually meetings with every single group didn't happen either.
"All I ask is that you trust me on this one Carl," I asked. He didn't seem pleased, but he nodded and we joined the crowd heading to the amphitheater, Chief grabbed my arm as I stepped onto the stage.
"What is this about?" the Chief asked me.
"You'll see," I said. I could tell Bruce was trying his best to not hurt or yell at the Chief, he was waiting for me to tell everyone and I silently thank him for that. When Chief let me go I moved to the middle and called for everyone's attention. When I was sure everyone was paying attention I began to explain everything that I discovered. When I finished there was not a single sound being made by anyone.
"Do you all really believe her?" Chief interrupted the silence, turning everyone's attention to her.
"I have never lied to them before, not like some people," I said.
"Seer you can't really believe that I'm a Watcher," Chief said.
"I didn't want to, but the proof is all here and it's absolutely undeniable. Just give it up Chief, I'm tired of all the lies and so is everyone else," I replied.
"I have no idea what you are talking about," she stated and that got me angry, she was trying to deny it even after I the evidence I had proved it without a doubt.
"Stop it! You can't lie to me any more! I can see it now, I can now see the hatred and evil in your aura, you know how hard it is to hide the truth once everyone knows," I replied. She stood there silent for a good minute before a smug smile appeared on her face.
"You're very clever, Seer, but I never thought you were clever enough to find me out. I suppose I shouldn't have underestimated you or your destiny," Chief said. "I suppose we no longer have to hide." Then about 20 "Protectors" attacked Abilitors in the crowd, their actions declaring them as Watchers.
"Is this smart? Uh... let's see there's about 200 Abilitors and about 180 Protectors against 20 Watchers not including you," I said, "You should just leave now and never come back."
She looked at me for a moment and then she and the Watchers disappeared with a puffs of smoke in their place. Usually people would be freaking out at this moment, but not us; it was silent once again. Deadly silent, I looked over everyone's faces and all I could see was shock and confused faces. No one made a move, I didn't know what to do after this. I hadn't planned that far ahead.
"We need a leader," Josh said breaking the silence. "We need someone we can trust. Someone strong, who can protect us."
"Someone who knows how hard it can be," Bailey said. "Someone who's brave, who can stand up for us."
