Nova's POV
How was I supposed to keep everyone calm after telling them where Artemis went? I stood in front of everyone. I already had their attention and I was about to tell them when Josh and Ashley came in. Mind you no one is talking and all of a sudden you hear someone yelling. The entire camp was in an uproar. Ashley was screaming, but Josh was going so fast we couldn't really see where they were. Josh ran up on stage, I knew because I felt the rush of the wind as he ran up.
"Put me down! I swear if you don't put me down this instant Josh!" Ashley was yelling, personally I don't think Ashley could have been more pissed off.
"Fine! We're here anyway," Josh said as he set her back on the ground.
"Nova what's going on?" Wade asked.
"What did Artemis do?" Winry asked.
"Everyone!" I yelled and they all turn their attention back to me. "Please calm down and let me explain everything before anyone does anything. Artemis discovered the Watchers HQ with the help of Josh. She decided to go to the camp and see what she can find out, while leaving me in charge. She will be back in a day or two, so bear with me."
"Josh how could we leave her like that?!" Ashley yelled.
"Ashley calm down," I said firmly.
"Calm down?! We just left my best friend in the worst place possible!" she yelled.
"Winry," I said calmly knowing she would be thinking the same thing.
"Got it," she replied and walked toward Ashley. "Sleep," she said barely above a whisper as she touched Ashley's forehead. Ashley began to fall when Josh caught her.
"Take her to her room," I ordered. He did as I said and came back a few seconds later. Everyone still had their eyes on me. "I know I'm not Artemis," I began, "I know I'm not the one you chose to lead you, but she left me in charge. She thinks I can handle this, so please don't prove her wrong."
"We have to help her," Bailey said.
"We can't. Artemis doesn't want to put anyone in danger," I replied. Everyone started yelling, there was so much going on I couldn't keep up.
"Guys! I was like you at first," Josh began, "I've known Mis since I came here, she even trained me and the last thing I wanted to do was leave her there. But she's with Carl and Hannah the two most capable Protectors in our program. And come on, this is Mis we're talking about, she's not going to die easily."
"Her parents died and so did her brother on their watch how can we trust that she's going to live?" Mason asked. No one spoke. No one ever mentioned Nick or Artemis's parents, and especially never like that.
"Is Artemis really in that much danger?" Neil asked. Crap, if Artemis is right about him he'll do something very stupid. I never got to meet Nick, but I sure heard enough stories about him.
"Artemis is going to be fine. It's not her time, she has a destiny to fufill," I explained.
"Why does that matter? She can still be hurt," Neil argued.
"No one is leaving this camp, that is a direct order from Artemis herself," I said, "Now everyone go get some rest."
Artemis's POV
Infiltrating the Watcher's HQ was easier than you think, it's not like they expected the leader of the Abilitors to just walk in (which is exactly what I did). Unfortunately I was only able to get a little information before I had to go. Hannah, Carl, and I were camping out in the forest.
