"I still can't believe that picture you painted yesterday," Bailey said as we ate together at lunch.

"I know right," Ashley said.

"Before the... when I was younger I always loved to paint, it was a fun thing to do and I got good at it," I explained.

"You weren't always blind were you?" Ashley asked. I looked in her direction.

"Don't worry you don't have to answer right now. Ashley and I have to leave anyway," Bailey said, they left after that.

"You know you can tell us," Mason said and then he left to. I could feel myself starting to cry but I couldn't, not there. The day when I lost my sight was a sore spot for me even though it's been so many years since it happened. I tried to find my walking stick so I could leave and get somewhere where I could be alone. Tried being the operative word. My walking stick was just gone, I couldn't feel it anywhere around me but that was impossible, it was impossible to get around me without knowing someone was there. I decided that calling Athena was my only option since I didn't have an extra stick on me.

I whistled, but she never came, I did it three more times and all three times I got no response. "How long are you going to whistle like a fool? Can't you see she's not coming, oops sorry you can't see," it was Stacy. Of course it would be her.

"Stacy what did you do to Athena?" I asked.

"Nothing, why would you ever think I did something to that mutt of yours? But have fun trying to find your way now, Artemis," she replied. Then I heard the sound of metal bending and being thrown on the floor.

"Stacy! It's one thing to mess with me, but you seriously had to break my walking stick and do something to my dog? That's low," I said as I stood up and faced her.

"Oh, I'm so scared a blind girl is threatening me," she mocked. I walked toward her, but I didn't get very far. One of her friends spilled a smoothie all over my shirt and then a guy came up and poured water on my head. I tried to walk away, but I slipped on the floor and fell. Everyone laughed and no one bothered to help me. I fought my ability and fought the urge to beat the hell out of Stacy. I was getting weak, if I didn't get out of that situation soon someone was going to get hurt and it wasn't going to be me.

"Because of you Brandon, my boyfriend-" she said the last part happily, and then got back to business, "-can't play the football game on Friday."

"Stacy what the heck are you doing?!" it was Brandon. Speak of the devil and he shall appear.

"Getting revenge for you of course," she replied sweetly like doing this wasn't wrong.

"And do you think this is what I would want?" he asked I think he was gesturing to me. Then he came over and helped me up. "Seriously Stacy, did you think I would want this? Did you think I would want you to hurt and embarrass the new girl?"

"But Brandon you can't play," she argued.

"This game, because of what I did. I deserved what I got, I threw an apple at Artemis. I'm a quarterback, that could've done serious damage, plus I'm injured so I would've sat it out anyway," he replied. Well... less damage then he thinks.

"Artemis!" Ashley yelled, and my other two new friends came back into the cafeteria. They all ran to me.

"Stacy what did you do?" Bailey asked, more angry than I thought she could ever be.

"You're going to pay," Mason growled at Stacy. He was mad and if I was her, I would be scared of him more so than Bailey.

"No. Don't stoop to her level. Can someone help me back to my house?" I asked.
