(Your POV)

I awoke to hushed voices echoing through the room. Although, I kept my eyes closed, pretending I was still asleep. Ponyboy was asleep beside me. I had an arm over his torso and I was on my stomach next to him, he's on his side facing me, and I had my face buried under his chin.

Wait...

Voices.

I could tell Ponyboy sensed it too, he tensed up alongside my figure.

"Wait wait wait, are they nakey nakey? Steve, check! Just in case!" Somebody whisper-yelled.

"Nah Two-Bit, you're crazy, you do it! I ain't gettin' in there," It was Steve who said that.

"C'mon guys, give 'em some time to wake up at least," And that was Soda. The sound of heavy boots vibrated the room, "What're you guys doing? Oh shoot- Did they 'bang'?" Great, just great. Dallas Winston. Out of the blue, someone pulled the covers off us, and I let out a squeal as I toppled to the hardwood floor. Ponyboy shot up with his face a glowing crimson colour. He rushed over to me, while I was sprawled out on the floor looking abashed. A bunch of snickers and inspects of amusement were exchanged around the room.

"Alright guys, get outta here. C'mon, you're embarrassing her!" Ponyboy whined. The gang shuffled out the door, still giggling away. I slipped out Pony's window after getting dressed so I didn't have to face the boys, especially Darry.

(Ponyboy's POV)

With nobody being around after I finished doing the dishes, I decided to pick up y/n to hang out. It was definitely a good, long walk; y/n lives just outside of Tulsa in a small farmhouse, which is kind of weird considering the fact that they've got no animals and no crops planted - just acres of plain soil. Although coming over seemed like a bad idea once I heard yelping and hollering.

"Shoot y/n, some hood is walking up the steps, go cover that damn bruise!"

Doubtfully, I knocked on a door with the white paint peeling off. Hurrying stomps flooded my ears and that door swung open so fast that I felt wind sweep up my hair.

"Whadd'ya want, kid?" A man with grey stubble for a beard appeared. He was wearing a dark blue dusty flannel over a stained white t-shirt. I think he's y/n's dad.

(Not me literally describing Lonnie from Stranger Things) 😅

"Is uh, is y/n home?" I stuttered.

"Who's asking?"

I gulped, "Just a friend, sir." Y/n's dad looked me up and down with a disgusted expression, "She's busy."

"Dad, tell him I'll be down in a minute!" Y/n shouted from inside the house.

(Your POV)

I snuck into mom's bathroom to gather her makeup when Ponyboy stopped by. I recognized his voice right away, and I knew my dad would give him a hard time, so I finished covering up as soon as I could. Pony has enough to worry about, I won't be another burden. He'll find out eventually anyway, I'll just let him figure it out on his own.

I met him and my dad at the door. Pony relaxed when I showed up. He started down the steps slowly as I put my shoes on.

"You'll have a bunch of boys up your skirt wearing that," My dad stated, picking at the v-neck part of my blouse, making me shift uncomfortably. He didn't even bother to whisper, Ponyboy probably overheard that. I just pulled my cardigan across my chest with my arms crossed stubbornly and scurried out to where Ponyboy was waiting patiently with a sympathetic face.

"Where do you wanna go?" He asked.

"Can we just go to your place?" I pleaded with a soft voice crack. Pony just nodded and put his arm around me, pulling me close to his side as we strolled.
