Tony and I went to the Curtis household around eight o'clock in the morning. Darry was getting ready for work and I decided to help him in the kitchen while Ponyboy companied Tony with toys Tony brought from home. They sat on the floor in the living room playing cars. The front door opened, then slammed shut.
"Honey, I'm home!" Two-Bit shouted, walking into the kitchen.
"Who was that directed to?" I said sort of jokingly, acknowledging that Darry was standing right next to me. Two-Bit replied with a sarcastically straight face, "Darry."
"So," He began, "Wanna go for a stroll? You, me, and little bugger over there?" He pointed to Tony.
"Sure," I said, "But let me finish doing the dishes."
Darry shook his head, "That's alright, y/n, I can finish up with the dishes." I thanked him and collected Tony. Two-Bit and I walked hand-in-hand to the park while Tony impatiently ran ahead.
We walked along the paths when Tony came skipping back, a look of curiosity appearing on his face.
"Two-Bit, why are you staring at mommy's boobies?"
I choked on air and suddenly burst out laughing. Two-Bit grinned wide and answered, "Because they look like melons and I love melons."
Minutes later, Tony begs us to take him to the playground, so we did. While Tony played with some other kids, Two-Bit and I made out on the park bench. We got a lot of dirty looks from the other moms...
An hour later, the three of us walked to the Curtis house where Two-Bit's car was. From there, we drove to Tony and I's apartment. Two-Bit walked us up to our room. We said our goodbyes and he began to leave.
"Wait, Two!" I called. He turned around.
"Do you... wanna stay the night?"
A smile slowly formed across his face and he came inside. I better not regret this. I so badly want Two-Bit to be a major part of mine and Tony's life, but if it doesn't work out and Tony gets too attached, the whole situation could really hurt us. However, I do have a real good feeling he's here to stay.
The three of us had dinner together.
Afterward, I cleaned the kitchen while Two and Tony spent more time together. Time passed and I lost sight of them. I searched the suite. The last place I checked was Tony's bedroom. Two was reading a children's book to Tony on his bed, Tony snuggled close to him.
"Come listen with me, mommy!"
Two-Bit smiled at me and gestured to lay next to him. Smiling nonstop, I laid next to Two-Bit. I rested my head and placed my hand on his chest. Two-Bit leaned his head on mine and kept reading.
