(Narrator's POV)
You find yourself going to the DX. Not to talk to Soda anymore, but to watch Steve. You noticed his toned muscles as he worked on cars. You stood far away so he wouldn't see you.
One day, out of the blue, as you were walking past the DX, Steve said, "I know you've been stalking me."
You froze, looking flustered, "What? No, I have not. You're so full of yourself."
He chuckled.
"What?" You asked impatiently.
"Nothin'. I just think you're hot," He paused, "And incredibly stupid because you're gonna let our pathetic fifth grade relationship affect what we could be now."
You frown, "You're a jerk, Steve."
"You just can't handle the Randle, sunflower."

The next day you went to the DX to get the your car's oil changed. Steve, being a car nerd, explained the whole process to you. In the middle of his explanation, you dipped your finger in the oil and blotted some on his nose.
"Oh boy, you're gonna regret that, missy!" He taunted. As he slowly shifted toward the oil, you smirked. You squealed and ran away as he dipped his entire hand in it and ran after you. He had you pinned to the fence, the same fence where he kissed you before.
He rubbed his oil-covered hand all over your face. You glared at him, trying not to squirm. He was so close to you.
"Don't worry, y/n," He assured, "You still look cute with all that oil all over your face."
You looked each other in the eyes for what felt like forever. You forgot what it was like to be in love with Steve Randle. Before you could comprehend what was happening, he leaned forward so your noses touched. With one hand rested on the fence next to your head, he used the other to lift your chin. Your lips met his. He smirked after pulling away.
That feeling of loving Steve Randle never seemed to really disappear after all.
Thank you all so much for waiting patiently for this chapter! Ever since I've come home from Banff, I haven't had much motivation to write and it was also difficult with school starting. I know the chapters are super short, I'm hoping to have longer chapters soon.
