It's been a couple of weeks since that whole fiasco happened and we've really forgotten about it, it's not really a topic we want to bring up either way. Iris, AJ, and I were at AJ's house just chilling by her pool... it's still hot out. I can't swim and don't want to ruin my box braids so I'm just dipping my feet in the deep end. Iris swims to me and holds onto the ladder for the deep end for support as she talks to me. "Sooo, Kai defending us was pretty hot huh??" She says nudging my leg. I have to admit that was hot. "Okay fine, it was hot but that's all I'm saying." I said as I cross my arms. Iris starts to laugh and hit my thighs. We all finish outside and take showers to wash off the chlorine. We put on our pajamas and work on our homework.

                             The Next Day....

Gym.... that speaks for itself. We're doing baseball for gym and oh how I wish I didn't have to participate. Iris weaseled her way out of gym by using the heat and her asthma... she's in the shade flipping us off and laughing at us. "Haha loser!" She says while giving us the L sign. Kai's in our class so that's something good I guess. "AJ you're up!" The gym teacher yells. AJ puts on the helmet and grabs the bat, the pitcher then throws the ball and AJ hits a home run and runs to all bases. Everyone is cheering as she runs and sits back down to me. "Damn bro good job!" I say giving her a high five. She slaps my hand and smiles. "Thank you." "Brandi! You're next!" The teacher yells. "Fuck me." I whisper. As I'm getting up I fix my gym shorts and AJ slaps my back. Iris cheers me on from the shade, "Go Brandi you got this you hit that home run!" She yells. "This bitch is being sarcastic." I think as I flip her off giving her my fake smile. I put on the helmet and grab the bat. As the pitcher throws the ball.... everything went black and I wake up in the nurses office. As I collect myself I realize what happened.... I missed the ball and got knocked out. "Fuck that's so embarrassing!" I cry out. "You're awake." I hear a guy say.
