"Kai it's not what you think." I tell him as he's walking away from me. "Please stop and listen to what I have to say." I say pulling him and having him face me. "Look Brandi, you'll be late to class so after school let's meet up during your tennis practice, then we'll talk.. okay?" He says calmly. I say okay and walk to my next class.
After school
It's after school, and we're all on the track running laps. I sneak away from the group and meet up with Kai, under the bleachers. I explain what happened in the empty class room and he still looks skeptical. "Look I'm not the type to lead someone on." I say looking him in the eyes. "Fine." He says, not looking at me. "But I'm still jealous so how will you fix it??" He says staring at me smirking. I look away blushing and suggest we go out tomorrow night. He laughs and agrees. I go back to the group and resume practice. After school I get a text from Daniel asking to meet him at the library to work on our project. I change into a hoodie and sweats and drive there. I meet up with Daniel and we find a table. "Okayy let's get to working." I say. Our project was to research a case that seemed unfair and present it pointing out what was unfair with the case, we chose the George Stinney JR case. We got to work and finish our presentation after 3 hours. "This looks good! I'll check up on it tonight and text you when I'm done then you can turn it in." I say as I'm packing up. He says okay and we leave.
Tonight
It's 10pm and I'm rechecking the project, it looks good so I text him.
