Chapter 25

Today was the day that I went back to school and I was not having it. Daniel was in jail yeah but I knew that Nina would say something and I wasn't in the mood, it's all the pain medication they have me on. All I wore was a baggy hoodie(courtesy of Kai) sweats, and my converses(even if they're a little dirty). When I got to the meet up spot I go to regularly to hang with my friends for a bit, I turned around and started to walk away. "Brandi wait!" AJ says. She stops me and spins me around. "I'm sorry but Nina has been on my back since Daniel's in jail, don't leave me please." She says pleading. "Fine but if she says one thing about Daniel, I'm leaving." I say irritated. She nods and we walk back. I lay on the wall and pretend to be busy on my phone while Nina talks. "So Brandi," Nina says. "How are you feeling?" "I'm fine." I say giving her a fake smile. She gives me a fake smile and continues on. "It just confuses me why you'd leave your house that late at night regardless if AJ texted." She says sounding fake as fuck, I sigh and put my phone in my pocket. "Okay 1 it's none of your business why I left my house to talk to my friend." I say staring at her. "And second Daniel is an unhinged, psychotic, fake ass guy who has issues." She just looks at me. "Sorry AJ I'm going to class now." I say walking away. "Wait up! Let me walk you to class." She says following me. When I get to my class, all eyes are on me. When I sit down I get a text from Iris.... saying she'll be late. 'Great.' I think . After 10 minutes Iris comes in late and sits next to me. "Hey, sorry I'm late." She says. "It's fine." I say. "After everything that's happened with Brandi, I've decided to give you just this worksheet and afterwards you have the rest of class to yourself." My teacher says. While the class was cheering and celebrating this free class, I put my hood over my head and try to blend with my seat.

                                  After School...

Today was pretty uneventful. During Lunch, all my friends were with me as well as Kai checking up on me and I had a pass from Tennis so I just went straight home.
