Chapter 24

Brandi's POV

When I woke up, all I saw was a bright light. "She's awake!" I hear a voice say. "Get the doctor!" Another says. All I do is turn my head to the side and see my family, all eyes swollen and looking at me. I try to speak but when I tried, nothing came out, I just laid my head straight and looked at the bright light in the ceiling. I must've fallen asleep because I woke up, this time being able to speak. "Where's AJ and Iris." I say, my throat hurting. When I spoke I saw them loom over my head. "Brandi! Thank gosh you woke up, how are you feeling??" Iris says helping me sit up. "I'm fine, just a sore throat." I say coughing a bit. They give me water and explain what happened after I passed out. "You stabbed him!" I yell whisper. "It's not like he's on life support, just like three not so deep stabs." AJ says, "It's fine." I scold her on what could've happened if she killed him and she disregarded what I said. " He stabbed you so technically I wasn't thinking, I was too mad at him." AJ points out. I roll my eyes and they tell me what I missed at school.

                  Timeskip: Three days later

It's been three days and I was released from the hospital. When I got home all I wanted to do was go to bed. When I got home I ignored my parents calling me and just went straight to bed. When I woke up, I saw my family over my head smiling and looking at me. "Is everything okay?" I say. "Oh nothing!" My mom says. "I just want you to know before you go back to school you're going to tell me what happened." I groaned and tried suffocating myself with my pillow. "Okay, I'll tell you what happened. " I say sitting up. "To sum it all up, I got a text from AJ around 11 and went to the park since she told me to go there, as you may already know, it wasn't AJ and I was kidnapped." I say. They just look at me all confused. "It wasn't smart leaving that late at night." My dad says. "But it was smart leaving a note and texting your friend before you left." They gave me a hug and let me go back to bed. "By the way, we'll give you two days then you go back to school." My mom says before leaving and closing my door. 'Ewwww I have to go back!' I think to myself while proceeding to suffocate myself with my pillow again.
