Chapter 30

Enchanted forest was the theme for prom and walking into the ballroom, it felt like we walked into one. There were these lanterns hung on the ceiling, vines on the pillars in the room, fairy lights were strung throughout the place and they had a starry night projecting onto the entire ceiling. Walking inside literally took my breath away. I stopped just as I entered and took in the scenery. "We made it guys, after four years of all the bullshit we took... we're here." Iris says. "Well what are we waiting for!" AJ says. "Let's not waste any time!" AJ,  Iris, and I run to find the others and get seats. When we got seats, we found the others. "Hey guys!" Leila says screaming over the music. We all hug and just basically gush over how good we look for a good 10 minutes. "Brandi you look so beautiful!" Aspen said while having me do a 360. "What're we waiting for??" Celia says, "Let's dance!"

Timeskip: 2 hours

Two hours into prom and I'm already tired. We all ate, danced, and took so many photos... we needed a break. Celia, Aspen, AJ, and Leila continued to dance and Iris was sitting with her date. Kai and I just walked around the school and went to our classes just to knock on the doors. We played with the knob to my math class and the door was open. "We should go in and just sit down." He says. I can be really slow sometimes so I just said yes without thinking of what could happen. When we got in, it was dark but the moonlight and the fairy lights the classroom had illuminated the room. He closed the door and walked closer to me. "Shit I forgot my bag it had my phone in it." I say. "Lemme go get it." As I'm walking he grabs hold of my arm and pulls me closer till we're right in front of one another. "Don't you want to be with me?" He says giving me a pout. "I do, I'll get it later." I say laughing a bit. "Good." He says resting his hands on my lower back. 'Ohhh shit." I think to myself.
