Chapter 17

A days passed so it's time to present our projects for crime studies, it wasn't a lot of work so we only had two days to work on it. Our teacher made us a list and assigned us numbers on who would present first, I was third, Iris was fourth, and Kai was sixth. The first two presented pretty fast so now it was my turn. I get up and Daniel sets up. "So Daniel and I chose the George Stinney Jr case." I said, I explain the case and when it took place. "We think this case is unfair because of how quickly they convicted George and because they had an all white jury." He explained further on why it was unfair. "Thank you Brandi and Daniel, you may be seated." Our teacher says. As I sit down and wait for Iris and her partner to present, I get a text from..... Daniel... what the hell? I look at him and he's not looking at me, I check what he texted me.

I know AJ would forgive cause she doesn't give a shit but she won't forget. I put my phone down and listen to the rest of the presentations.
After School

It's after school and Iris, AJ, and I are at my house chilling. "Yo guys." AJ says. "What is it?" Iris and I say. She shows us her phone and it's Daniel asking to meet up at Meteor Garden Park. "I don't know if I should go..." AJ says skeptically. "You should go AJ, maybe he wants to apologize for what he did." I say. AJ gives me a look and agrees to go. "Fine but if I get kidnapped it's your fault and I want you going to prison." I laugh hitting her and she leaves. Iris and I hang out playing Roblox waiting for her return. After a couple of hours, she comes back and explains that he apologized and wanted to be friends again, she agrees only on the terms that he can't put his hands on her unless he wants her to beat him up. "If you forgive him then..... he's okay?" I say. "Not entirely." AJ says.
