You walked down the street to catch the bus so you could get home from work. When you got to the bus stop, the bus had just arrived. You climbed onto the bus and stood in back next to a man. When he saw you, his jaw dropped.
"(Y/N)?" He asked. You looked at the man with an apologetic smile.
"I'm sorry, but do I know you?" You asked.
"(Y/N), it's me, Joe." He replied. Suddenly all the memories flooded back to you.
*Freshman Year: High School*
"Hey watch where you're going!" A senior yelled at you, knocking down your books. You kept quiet and tried to collect your books and papers that we're know scattered on the hallway floor. Suddenly you noticed the papers lessened. Looking up, you saw a boy with kind blue eyes smiling at you.
"Here you go." He said handing you the books.
"Thanks. I'm (Y/B)." You smiled taking the books.
"I'm Joe. What class do you have now?"
"Science."
"Me too. Mind if I walk with ya?" You ginned and shook your head. You and Joe walked to science, unknowingly, forming a new friendship.
*Senior Year: High School*
"(Y/N)! Wait up!" Joe called after you. You rolled your eyes but slowed down.
"Yes Joseph?" You asked chuckling at his lack of breath.
"Come to mine for a movie?" He asked.
"Right now? Sure." You grabbed his hand and walked to his white truck. You two drove to his house, singing along to the radio, loudly. When you got there, Joe opened the door for you.
"M'lady." He smiled. You giggled and got out of the car. You two walked into his house.
"Okay, pick a movie and I'll get snacks. You want ice tea to drink right?" Joe said.
"Joey, you know me better than I know myself." You smirked. Joe chuckled and walked to the kitchen. You pulled out a movie that you found called Tucker and Dale Vs Evil. You put it in the DVD player and watched as the previews started. When the actual movie started, Joe found himself sitting next to you with a bowl of pop corn.
"Is this Tucker and Dale?" He asked.
"Yeah." You replied. Joe just smiled and you rested your head on his shoulder.
"If you get scared, just know that you can hide your head into my chest." Joe laughed.
"My hero." You snorted, clinging closer to him as the main characters were introduced.
*Summer Of Senior Year*
"Joe, why are we in the woods?" You asked feeling mosquito bites all over your body.
"Because, this is our last summer together before were both in college. I wanna do something fun with you." Joe explained.
"Whatever you say, Joey." You two walked until you came to a creek.
"Okay, now we sit and talk." Joe said sitting on a tree branch. You took the seat next to him.
"What are we talking about?" You asked.
"I don't know. Anything." Joe replied. You turned to him and frowned.
"I'm gonna miss you Joe." You sighed.
"I'm gonna miss you too (Y/N)." Joe replied pulling you into a hug. You looked at him and quickly pulled his lips to yours. You and Joe locked lips in the evening glow of a setting summer sun, and it was the first of many.
*Freshman Year: College*
"I'm here to see Joseph Trohman." You told the woman at the college reception desk.
"Yes, room 1506. That's on the right wing, third floor." The woman smiled at you.
"Thanks." You smiled back. You took walked to the elevator and pressed the up button. When it opened, you saw Joe kissing another girl. Your heart broke. They were oblivious to the fact that you were standing there and the elevator just closed again, going to pick up the next rider. You turned and walked straight back to your car. Before starting the car, you sent Joe a simple, two letter text: It's Over. You put away your phone and drive off.
*Present Time*
"Come on (Y/N), don't say you don't remember me." He pleaded. You looked into those kind blue eyes you stared into the first day you met him and sighed.
"I don't recall." You said, softly. The bus came to your stop and you quickly walked off, ignoring Joe's calls.
