You stood over in the corner of the room watching everyone dance. Another reason to hate your friend: the huge fancy balls she threw. Who even threw balls anymore? You wore a white dress with plaint splatters by the skirt. You wore white heels to go with it. The dress went up to your knees and you though you looked amazing. Too bad no one was paying attention to you.
"So, you waiting for someone?" A guy asked, scaring you. He was leaning against the wall next to you wearing a dark gray silk shirt and a grey jacket with black pants (see media). He was gorgeous and you suddenly felt yourself wanting to be near him.
"Nope. Just here." You sighed, shifting nervously.
"Well, I'm not waiting for anyone either. How coincidental. The two people here alone, found each other." The guy said smoothly.
"I don't even know your name."
"I'm Peter Lewis Kingston Wentz the lll. You can call me Pete." Pete took your hand in his and kissed it.
"Well, my name is (Y/N). You can call me (Y/N)." You said.
"I think I'll call you Dove. You seem like such an innocent and fragile girl. It's cute." Pete said. You blushed and looked down. Pete grabbed your hand as "Love Me Like You Do" by Ellie Goulding came on (see media).
"May I have this dance?" He asked you. You nodded your head and let him pull you on to the dance floor. Pete looked at you, expecting you to start the dance.
"Oh, I uh, I can't dance." You said embarrassedly. Pete smiled and shook his head.
"Alright. I'll lead." He said. Now Pete, he was a pro at dancing. He grabbed both your hands and started leading right away. As soon as he did that, he literally and figuratively swept you off your feet. It felt as if you were the only two people in the room. He spun and dipped you like it was his job.
"You're very good at following." He chuckled spinning you two around.
"Well, you're a good leader." You joked. Pete smiled and kissed you softly as the song ended. He pulled back and looked at you.
"I think we should see each other again." He smiled. You smiled and nodded your head in serious agreement.
