You sat on your couch reading a book. Your boyfriend of 5 years was at the dog park with your new puppy, Hemingway. Your phone vibrated as you turned the next page in your book. You looked down to see a message from Pete.

Meet me @ th dog park. Hemmy learned a new trick!
You sighed and got off the couch, leaving your book.
"He better have taught that dog to speak dammit." You muttered a bit angrily at the fact you had to leave at the best part in your book. The main character was getting married to her true love, and everything was going haywire.
Chaos. Gotta love it.
You walked to the dog park and saw it was unusually empty except for Pete and Hemingway.
"Pete, where is everybody?" you asked walking towards him.
"I don't know. (Y/N), stay right there." Pete said. He looked over at Hemingway and smiled.
"Alright, just like we practiced buddy. There's (Y/N)." Pete said. Hemingway ran over to you and stopped about a foot away. He had something shiny on his collar. You took it off and saw a diamond ring.
"Pete?" You asked a bit confused. Pete smiled and came over to you.
"(Y/N), will you marry me?" He asked taking the ring from your hand. You gasped and looked from Pete to Hemingway, who both had their heads cocked to the side with a puppy dog face.
"Pete, of course!" You exclaimed hugging him. Pete smiled and slid the ring on your finger.
"Good boy Hemingway!" Pete grinned patting Hemingway on the head. Hemingway just barked and licked Pete's hand.
