*8th Grade*

"Come on Peter!" You called.

"(Y/N), my name is Pete. Drop the r." Pete groaned running behind you.

"I just had to leave. I hate graduation parties. Who needs a party for graduating 8th grade?" You huffed brushing strands of your black hair that was up in a bun. Pete chuckled.

"I don't know. Why don't you let your hair down?" He asked.

"My mom likes it up." You sighed.

"Well do you like it up?" He asked.

"No, but my mom says she wants it up."

"(Y/N), when are you gonna do what makes you happy? You're wearing pink! You hate pink."

"My mom liked it."

"This is what I'm talking about." You sighed and stomped your foot.

"Fine! One day, I'm gonna let my hair down. One day, I'm gonna wear what I want. One day, I'll be my own person." You announced. Pete smiled and clapped.

"Let's start with this." He said pulling your hair out the bun. He smiled and took some in his hands.

"I like it down." He smiled. You giggled and sat on the cool summer grass watching the stars.

"(Y/N)?" Pete asked.

"Yeah." You replied.

"One day, I'm gonna kiss you."

"Huh?"

"I don't know, I just feel like I should."

"Then why don't you do it now?"

"Eww no! You have cooties."

"Won't I always?"

"No. My dad kisses my mom which means when you grow up, you lose your cooties."

"Alright then Pete. One day, you're gonna kiss me." Pete sighed and held your hand.

"Awesome." He smiled.

*13 years later*

"Peter!" You laughed.

"(Y/N), what did I say about you calling me that?" Pete sighed throwing you over his shoulder. You started laughing louder as you black hair hung down in your face.

"Pete, put me down!" You giggled.

"No." Pete huffed.

"Why not?"

"You didn't say please."

"Pete, please put me down."

"Fine." Pete dropped you on the couch and fell on top of you.

"Aww, what the hell?" You groaned.

"We're spending time together." Pete exclaimed hugging you.

"Your gonna mess up my black V-neck." Pete laughed and hugged you tighter.

"Hey, do you still have cooties?" Pete asked out of nowhere. You shook your head, confused.

"Good." He said before bringing his lips to yours. You kissed back after the initial shock wore off. Pete pulled back too soon and you smiled.

"What was that?" You asked.

"I said one day I'd kiss you. Today's that one day." Pete smirked. He kissed you again before walking off
